Yes folks. We have more beta keys for StarCraft 2 to give out. What better way to give them out than to have the best DotA teams fight to their last breathe for them in the newly developed Capture Point mode?

We all expected the Farm4Fame finals this weekend, but due to several reasons, Dota-League decided to postpone them to the upcoming week. But that doesn't mean the weekend well be totally without DotA.

GosuGamer's DotA section will be holding a mini tournament that will be played over this weekend. The champions of the tournament will get a beta key each. While captains mode have been used in almost every tournament around, it has been decided to add something else to the mix. The cup will be played with capture points in conduction with the captains mode.

Everyone is familiar with captains mode with their four bans and five picks. In Capture Point, the game will start like normal until ten minutes into the game. Six points will spawn around the map. Players will have the stay on the point to capture it which gives them passive power-ups such as movespeed increase, extra regeneration and increased attack. This extraordinary mode will hopefully allow the community to see some very unique and interesting picks along with some nice action. To make the tournament more exciting, we decided to limit the play time to 35 minutes. Read the complete rule-set for further information.

All in all, there will be eight teams playing in this tournament. Teams such as Online-Kingdom, DTS and Unique eSports will butt heads to grab that exclusive beta key that GosuGamers has to offer. So check out the schedule below and place your bets as soon as possible.

Rules

Version: 6.67c
Patch: 1.24
Gamemode: 5vs5 -cpcm
Format: Single Elimination, best out of one. Final will be played in a best out of three.

Game Winner
There are three ways to win a match:
- the enemy forfeits
- the enemy's throne gets destroyed
- the team with more capture points at exactly minute 35:00

If both teams have equal capture points after 35 minutes, the team who manages to capture the next capture point wins (sudden death).

Prizes
The winner of the final best out of three will receive 5 Beta keys for Starcraft 2 (Battle.net account needed)

Reporting
The team captains of each team must be reachable at #gg.dota (Quakenet) to reduce time delay. The winning team has to save the replay; if the game is a reload, an endgame screenshot is mandatory.

Restrictions
None!

Bugs
Bug using may result in a default loss.
Blocking Base entrances with spells is forbidden (e.g. Fissure). This rule can be ignored in fights. Admins will decide in case of uncertainty.

Remakes and Saves
A game can be remade at a maximum of two times per team (not after 5 minutes). If a player drops, either the hero AND his items can be used or the items will be sold and the hero can not be used any more.
After a remake the players have to pick the same heroes and same items and assume the same lanes as before. In case both teams agree you are of course allowed to do a remake with new items and/or lanes.
The teams are responsible for saving every 10 minutes or after big fights, tower kills or Roshan. Saving a game must be announced by the saver with a countdown. Admins will decide in case of uncertainty (forgot to save and a player drops e.g.).

We hope for enjoyable games with unusual picks packed with a lot of action. Livecast will be provided by Madmortigan at dotacast.com. The brackets will be announced very soon, as well as the missing teams. Call your friends off, this weekend is already occupied!

Especially thanks to DotA Pride and CM Storm for providing with hostbots.
