Day 1 of the MSC 2024 Wildcard Tournament has come to an end, with some epic games seen and Entity7 taking the top spot in Group A.

Today we saw the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup 2024 get underway, as the Wildcard Tournament began. Over this coming weekend, the eight teams would be fighting for the single remaining spot in the main event’s Group Stage. For today, we saw Group A’s teams challenge one another in a best-of-one round-robin, where the top team would make it through to Sunday’s decider series.

Entity7 come out on top

It was a long day filled with tons of MLBB today, and one team got themselves one step closer to reaching the MSC 2024 Group Stage. From the first game, it seemed as though KeepBest Gaming were primed to dominate Group A, with Saxa’s Nolan going unkilled, with 100% kill participation, and 11 kills against S2G Esports. However, KBG quickly fell short, losing to both Entity7 and Zino Zenith in their next two games.

With KBG and S2G falling by the wayside quite quickly, the group came down to Entity7’s final game – and the final game of the day, which would determine whether we would have a clean three-game sweep for the South Americans. While S2G put up a great defence, it only prolonged the inevitable, as Entity7 claimed one final Lord and cleaned up their opponents.

With that, Entity7 became the first challenger in the decider series for Sunday and would have a chance to reach the MSC 2024 Group Stage. For the other three teams, unfortunately, they would be eliminated from the event and would have to go back to the drawing board in hopes of making it to the next event. Tomorrow, June 29th will see Group B take centre stage, with HomeBois and IHC Esports being two of the favourites to take the top spot.
