With the second day of the MPL PH Season 13 Playoffs, we saw two series but this time around there were no eliminations.

While on Day 1 of the Mobile Legends Professional League’s Season 13 Playoffs would end with two teams eliminated, Day 2 would only see two teams falling into the lower bracket, while two would make their way into the upper bracket finals. Even with the safety net in place, no teams would want to face the task of a grueling lower bracket run into the Grand Finals and a spot at the Mid Season Cup 2024.

Clean sweeps all-day

All four remaining teams in the MPL PH Season 13 Playoffs were the same four featured in the Season 13 Playoffs at this stage – making up the top four of the previous season too. However, this time around, the results were slightly different – and so were the team names, technically speaking. With AP.Bren entering into a partnership with Falcons, and Team Liquid picking up ECHO, there were some new looks to the teams, but the play was just as thrilling as anticipated.

Kicking off the day would be RSG Philippines and Liquid Echo, which had a high chance of going the distance, as with any series in MPL PH. While RSG looked to get off to a strong start, they had the door quickly shut in their face. From that point on, it was just a “bread-and-butter” series for the ex-M4 World Champions, sealing the deal with a Khaleed pick in game three.

Having played nine games in total on Day 1 of the playoffs, Day 2 looked vastly different for Blacklist International who faced off against a Falcons AP.Bren which looks to still be in their finest form. Bringing out the Chip twice during the series, the reigning champions of MPL PH made quick work of Blacklist and sent them down to the depths of the lower bracket.

With two teams now facing elimination again, and an upper bracket final, Friday is set to start off an epic weekend of action for MPL PH Season 13’s Playoffs. By the end of tomorrow, only three teams will remain, and we will know the first PH qualifier for MSC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia later this year.
