Looking to finally take back their spot amongst the elite of the Philippines, Smart Omega Esports was in a position to cause a massive upset today, and possibly pave their path to finally obtaining the Mobile Legends Professional League crown for PH. The once champions of MSC would have to face off against none other than the reigning champions of the region and one of their biggest rivals previously, Blacklist International. In a best-of-five elimination series to kick off Season 11’s playoffs, the teams were far from evenly matched.

Having secured a solid early game period, with three turtles going in their favour, it seemed as though Omega was ready to take the fight to Blacklist in the playoffs. With two heavy defeats in the Regular Season, they were hoping to get some kind of revenge, with the Agents even allowing the Wanwan through for Kelra. However, as the game progressed, Blacklist began to seize control of the Land of Dawn, leaving their opponents in the lurch.

With game one in the bag, it was a massacre moving forward, as Blacklist became more confident in their playstyle and picks, while Omega struggled to keep up at every turn. The final nail in the coffin was dealt in game three, with a victory in only 14 minutes, as Blacklist secured a 21-2 kill score by the end. The attempted Terizla and Baxia picks which Omega decided to go with did not pay off, as they were crushed and defeated in a clean sweep.

This loss means that Smart Omega Esports was the first team eliminated from the MPL PH Season 11 playoffs, leaving behind five teams to fight for the crown. Blacklist, on the other hand, will now move on to another intriguing battle, as they face off against Bren Esports tomorrow, in what is set to be an explosive upper bracket semi-final series.
