Indonesia’s eleventh season of the Mobile Legends Professional League has now completed its Regular Season, which saw eight teams fighting over a six-week period to reach the playoff stage. Unfortunately for two of those teams, this season would not see them making it, with one being rather surprising. For the rest, they have a few weeks to prepare, with only Rex Regum Qeon and ONIC Esports being safe from elimination in their first series.

Rebellion and AURA fall

During MPL ID Season 10, Rebellion Zion managed to make their way into the playoffs for the first time, having struggled in seventh/eighth place for some time. While their Season 11 Regular Season saw some brilliant results for the team, including victories over Geek Slate and Bigetron Alpha, it was not enough to push them through this time around. With no full series victories in the final two weeks, RBL could not leapfrog Alter Ego, and would have to try again in Season 12.

For AURA Fire, Season 11 has been a trainwreck, especially after two strong performances saw them take third-place twice in 2022. The team seemed completely unable to string together any semblance of form, with their only series victory coming in Week 3 when they managed to defeat a struggling AE. For AURA, this result may cause some big changes, but for now nothing has been revealed as the team will have some time to piece things together before Season 12.

Geek Slate stumble

After showing off some brilliance during the Regular Season, which included a stunning defeat of RRQ during Week 4, Geek Slate seemed as though they could be a likely candidate for second-place in the standings. Unfortunately for the team, the final week did not go in their favour, as they lost to AE and BTR, leaving them in fourth place – with The Robots even jumping into third.

As can be seen above, the six teams heading into the playoffs are set, with EVOS Legends making their triumphant return. The Playoffs for MPL ID Season 11 will kick off on April 5, 2023, with the best-of-seven grand finals coming our way on April 9. On day 1 of the playoffs we will see two separate elimination series, as two teams will have their tournament lives cut short. We will have more information on the MPL ID Season 11 playoffs during the week, so stay tuned to our MLBB tab.
