- Way of the Hunter: Wild America brings THQ Nordic's recent hunting simulator to mobile
- Releasing soon on iOS and Android it's being handled by Handy Games
- Way of the Hunter features an open expanse of terrain and realistically-simulated animals to track and hunt
The hunting sub-genre of shooters is an odd one. I think it's safe to say that this is aimed at a peculiar niche of fans who enjoy hunting in the Americas, and who sometimes just want to sit down and play. But if you've been curious about trying it for yourself then maybe the upcoming Way of the Hunter: Wild America Will draw you in.
Way of the Hunter: Wild America brings the mobile version of THQ Nordic's recent PC and console release to both iOS and Android. Using a variety of authentic hunting weapons ranging from rifles to bows and more, you'll track and take down all manner of Pacific Northwest wildlife.
And don't worry, because there's plenty of space to explore and stalk your prey. 55 square miles are open to you, with various other features including simulated natural behaviour from the various animals you'll encounter, the new Hunter Sense and more.

After all, nowadays the dads and uncles who regularly go out hunting probably don't have a console or PC lying around to play, but most if not all will have a tablet or smartphone.
Whether or not that really grasps a wider audience is anyone's guess. But I'd say that THQ Nordic's take definitely seems to have taken pains to smooth out the more tedious aspects of hunting, something this port will hopefully reflect.
