Starting today, players of the Gold Award-winning Real Racing 3 have a nice surprise waiting for them.

Assuming, of course, they play on iOS and live in the United States.

Publisher EA Mobile is giving away a redeemable code for the "Handful of Gold" in-game currency IAP, worth $1.99.

In order to get in on the action, players simply have to head over to this page, click the understated "EMAIL ME A CODE" button in the middle of the screen, and wait for the code to appear in their inbox. Players can use this gold however they'd like in-game, and can put it towards upgrading an existing car, customizing it with a flashy new paintjob, or anything else their car-related minds can think of.

The good times won't last forever, unfortunately. EA notes that players have from now until May 31 to take advantage of the free currency giveaway.
