The wide world of tower defence has made a big mark on mobile. So has the roguelike genre, come to think of it. So it's not surprising we're seeing a mashup of the two with Castle Defenders Clash from Mobirix, set to arrive November 25th!

Yes, it's a ways off, but that gives us plenty of time to look into Castle Defenders and how it plays. And it's pretty straightforward, all things considered. You assemble a party of fantasy-style warriors to fight off the encroaching hordes of monsters, using a variety of upgrades to keep up with the increasingly powerful varieties you're set to face off against.

You'll need to synergise the individual members of your party to take on different types of enemies making their way across the screen. Meanwhile, you'll have access to different upgrades with silver being spent at a merchant, and runes that you collect and combine to grant further game-changing abilities.

Castle Defenders Clash certainly boasts a wealth of features that mixes the tower defence genre with that of the roguelike quite well. But equally, it also looks to be a very hands-off type of release, with the demo that Mobirix have provided showing only the occasional interdiction by the player.

While Castle Defenders Clash offers plenty of paths to upgrade your party and to customise your loadout, I would imagine that the lack of interactive elements could be off-putting to some. But at the same time for a casual tower defence release, it's sure to appeal to more than a few people.
