Shogun : War and Empire Beginner’s Guide And Tips

1 The Controls 

You have entered the game. After forming the units, you can either go for defence or attack mode. There will be options to go forward, move back, and to stop at the top left side of your screen. You can simply use them as per your strategy. If you want to revert back because of low HP, you can do so too. 

Tip: Go to your settings to increase the sensitivity of the touches. 

2 Unit Formation In Battle 

Before every battle, you will be asked to place your units onto the land. The battle is either strategy mode or build mode. You can hold and drag them to the land. There are certain things to keep in mind –

• If you place units closer to each other then they will fight in groups. 
• You can tap and select soldiers to send to the enemy location you know. 
• If you want to play as a soldier, then repeated tapping will enable the FPS mode. 
• You need to know the roles of Ronin, Archer, Ashigaru, and Musketeer and place them on the front or back line accordingly. 

3 The Sandbox Gameplay 

Apart from the normal level mode, you have the option to play the sandbox mode. In this mode too, you have the option to choose different maps – Outskirts, Winter, and Mountain. You can also custom-create your area. 

The play here is you will have a barren land and you will need to decorate the place as you wish. After that, you can place your enemy clan and your clan at places all over the location. Clicking on the start button will start the war and then it will determine your success or defeat. 

Tip: Always place obstacles near the enemies. Save your data always. 

4 Join A Clan

This is the first thing you will be asked to do in the game. Do not worry, there is no such thing as a good or a bad clan. You can play both sides as well but not at the same time. Joining a clan is both for the sandbox game mode and the normal level mode. There are two clans currently – Clan Oda and Clan Takeda. 

5 Upgrade Your Barracks 

The level will increase gradually as you finish off your matches with victory. The same old units will be with you. However, their stats need to be increased so that their fighting potential is enhanced for higher levels. You will need the gold currency to enhance their HP and  Damage.
