Step 1: Find and Use the Slingshot

As soon as you enter the room, look above the table for a wooden board. Remove the board to reveal a slingshot hidden behind it. Pick it up and use the slingshot to shoot a can in the other room. This action will give you a hint:
“John escaped this prison years ago. Willy plans to escape in double the years of John.”

Now, look at the wall for Roman numerals—specifically the number 5, repeated six times, meaning John escaped in 30 years. Double that, and you get Willy’s escape plan: 60 years. Thus, 60 is your first code. Enter this into the keypad to unlock the first locker.

Step 2: Solve the Math Puzzle

Once you open the first locker, you will find the values for Triangle and Star symbols. These values are crucial for solving a math problem on the wall. Solve the equation, and you’ll get the code 6842, which unlocks the second locker.

Step 3: Find the T-Shirt Colors and Numbers

In the second locker, you’ll find four colors: Green, Blue, Red, and Orange. Each color corresponds to a number found on T-shirts scattered across different lockers. Two of the T-shirts are inside lockers, while the other two are visible in the room. One locker is locked, and you’ll need to find a key in the dustbin to open it.

Once you have all the numbers, they form the code 2741. Enter this code to unlock another locker.

Step 4: Decode the Symbols

In this locker, you’ll find a decoding sheet. Use it to decipher the symbols on the bathroom’s entrance wall, which will translate into “J Five.” This means J = 5.

Step 5: Solve the Triangle Puzzle

Next, head back to the triangle puzzle on the wall to find the value of D. The puzzle is:
360 – 180 – 100 = D
So, D = 80.

Step 6: Solve the Equation

Go back to the washroom and find a math equation on the wall:
(Dx2) + J = ?
Since D = 80 and J = 5, plug those values into the equation:
(80×2) + 5 = 165. This is your next code.

Enter 165 into the keypad on the mirror in the washroom, and it will unlock a cross.

Step 7: Cross Symbols Puzzle

You’ll now find four crosses scattered around the room: two by the table, one inside a locker, and one in the washroom. Replicate the symbols from these four crosses onto the new cross. Once completed, a push door will open in the bathroom, giving you access to the next room.

Step 8: Solve the Award Puzzle

In the new room, you’ll encounter an award puzzle. The solution to this puzzle is 2022, which is the year of their latest award. Use this code to unlock the locker, which will reveal some important values.

Step 9: Tic-Tac-Toe Puzzle

There are four Tic-Tac-Toe puzzles around the room. The goal is to identify the winning moves in each puzzle and replace them with the values found inside the locker you just opened. Doing this will reveal the final code: 7495.

Step 10: Escape

Enter 7495 into the final keypad, and the door will unlock. Congratulations, you’ve escaped Alcatraz!
