Note: Story of Seasons series is from the original developers. This is a remake of BTN/FOMT. They are unable to use ‘Harvest Moon’ as it is trademarked and now owned by Natsume Inc. here is a simple guide on how to fix the game not start.

How to Fix STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town Game not Start?

1. Change Config Language to ENG:

open notepad, inside the game folder there’s a SystemConfig.cfg, change language from 0 to 1

2. Run the config, click Save and Launch
3. If you get the error about missing msvcp140.dll and vcruntime140.dll, you got the same problem as me.
4. Uninstall all Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, no matter what years, x86 or x 64. All of it.
5. Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable, both x86 & x64 from Here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ae/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
