Translation of the runes added in the Obscure Information DLC. Spoiler Alert!!!

Overview

This guide shows the mapping from the runes found in  to the English alphabet, as well as translations of the text that uses these runes

If you find any additional locations that use these runes, please let me know and I’ll update the guide

As far as I can tell, there aren’t any secrets to be found as a result of translating the runes, just additional lore.

Mapping


I was able to decode this by recognizing the word Arcadia  in one of the rooms, after which it was relatively easy to pick off the remaining letters one by oneHaving done this, I later realized that the chalkboard in the Snailbot Burrow contains the entire alphabet in order

This one was a little trickier to figure out

Each of the segments of text streaming down the screen includes only 9 letters at any given time, but they are scrolling through a single looping message which reads (spaces added by me):

GO HAIKU THE ROBOT THE END IS NEAR

with the single dot (the inverse of the “O” rune) at the end. I didn’t add that to the mapping because it’s not clear exactly what type of punctuation it’s supposed to be.

The hallway leading to this fight contains the same text

When this area is revisited after defeating the boss, the text MAINFRAME is displayed, mirrored and read counterclockwise
