The kuya need your help to purify their polluted island! You're the new Spirit Keeper, and only you can save this island! Fill your purified island with beautiful flowers and buildings! Create a tropical paradise for the kuya to enjoy!

NetMarble, the venerable mobile game publisher and developer, has unveiled its latest project: Merge Kuya Island, a casual merge and build the game. You'll be building and expanding huge islands in this one by gathering materials, building, and then combining them all together to develop and create new creations.

First and foremost, let's discuss the namesake. The merge portion of the name obviously refers to the gameplay, but what about the Kuya part? Despite the fact that it is a relatively unknown and new segment of NetMarble's vast portfolio, they have a YouTube channel called Kuya Animation that displays a range of cute small creatures who go on fun adventures and Merge Kuya Island borrows the art style and characters from that series.

In terms of gameplay, Merge Kuya Island will have players supporting the cute island spirit Kua in transforming filthy regions into magnificent islands using simple and not too difficult principles. These mechanics essentially consist of acquiring a broad variety of resources and matching them together in a little minigame to obtain complete versions of them, which will then be utilized to enhance other aspects of the island, such as the greenery, beaches, and even new structures. You'll then take it a step further and mix the products and places you've created to create even greater versions of them.

With its ideals of environmental stewardship and charming, Pixar-esque character designs, this could be a wonderful choice for the kids. With a strong message and a cast made up entirely of eco-friendly products like vegetables, fruit, and rice balls, it's clear what Merge Kuya Island is trying to get players to think about: appreciating the natural world around them.

Merge Kuya Island is released on June 15th if you're looking for a beautiful, calm, and cute small building simulator, or if your kids need a new diversion. It is currently available on the App Store and Google Play and you can also play it on a big screen with MuMu Player.
