This year’s event revealed four major new games, remasters of classic titles, new content, and upcoming collaborations. New Warhammer Games Set the Stage for Future Adventures

Warhammer Skulls Showcase unveiled four new major games that vary in genres and platforms. One of the most shocking reveals in the event is the upcoming new series in the franchise, Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. This is developed by Owicat Games following their success with Rogue Trader. 

This game will feature intricate investigations, turn-based combat, and consequential choices that affect the fate of entire worlds. It’ll put players in the booths of the Imperium’s inquisition during the Noctis Aeterna. With this game, it expands on the successful formula of Rogue Trader while exploring the darker side of Imperial Justice.

The second game will be Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 which continues the pixelated carnage of previous releases. This game seeks to bring back the fiery Space Marine Malum Caedo in a retro-inspired rampage through an alien world in 2026. Another new game coming will be Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 promising to deliver more strategic turn-based tactical gameplay. This adopts a storyline of Adeptus Mechanicus encounter against the ancient Necron dynasties across multiple planetary battlefields.

On the other hand, mobile gamers will also be delighted with this treat Supremacy: Warhammer 40:000. It’s a free-to-play strategy game set on Vigilus allowing players to command Imperial Guard, Space Marines, Orks, and Chaos Forces. It will be having a launch across multiple platforms including PC, iOS, and Android. 

Classic Remasters Bring Beloved Titles to Modern Standards

Relic Entertainment is also bringing back some of the classics that most gamers have loved. One of these includes the cherished Warhammer 40K series which is Dawn of War Definitive Edition. With this, it packages the original real-time strategy gameplay including all expansions and is enhanced with 4K support. They also improved textures and lighting, camera controls, and provided a new 64-bit modding framework. 

Meanwhile, the second remaster will be the third-person shooter game which is the Space Marine Master Crafted Edition. It’ll upgrade the original game with modernized controls, improved character models, overhauled interface, and remastered audio. This will get an early release on June 10 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Also, it will be available through Game Pass to make sure subscribers can easily access the game.

Extensive Updates Fuel Existing Warhammer Experiences

Beyond the new games and remastered editions coming, there will be extensive updates for some of the Warhammer games. First, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will receive its Lex Imperialis expansion for a 15-hour playing experience extension. This new story content introduces Adeptus Arbites alongside new companion Solomorne Anthar. Although the second pass will provide two additional expansions focused on Necron vaults and Processional of the Damned.

Tides of Torment DLC is also set to release this Summer 2025 for Total War: Warhammer 3. It will feature three new Legendary Lords alongside fresh gameplay mechanics and a new custom battle mode. Space Marine 2 players can look forward to the Siege Mode update on June 26, featuring a three-player PvE experience. This encounter is against the endless Tyranid and Chaos Hordes. 

Besides these titles, Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks will also have officially launched version 1.0. This will include nine vehicles and 10 maps to bring excitement to the game. They will also be releasing a new Arbites Enforcer class for paid DLC in Darktide. Meanwhile, Vermintide 2 ends the Verminous Dreams Campaign with their new The Weil of Dreams update.

Unexpected Collaborations Cross Into New Territories

Collaborations were also part of the announcements in the recent Warhammer Skulls Showcase event. They’ll be having a crossover with Counter-Strike 2, featuring the Warhammer 40:000-themed stickers. On the other hand, Rust brings grimdark cosmetics to the survival game by getting Death Korps of Krieg Pack.
