Black Ops 7 and Warzone got a weekly update on June 11, 2026 that is far heavier than the standard mid-season drop. Treyarch added a brand new assault rifle, launched a two-week limited camo event that brings back Black Ops 3 cosmetics, released surprise patch notes the day before the update went live, and activated a triple bonus XP weekend all at once.

Black Ops 7 & Warzone: June 11 Update Master Sheet

The June 11 update (Season 4, Week 2) brings a massive content drop including the VX Compact bullpup AR, the fan-favorite Cherry Fizz camo event, and a suite of critical stability fixes.

If you care about free weapons, time-limited camos, or just want to know what got fixed before you queue up again, there is a lot to process here. This article covers everything confirmed by Treyarch’s official patch notes and the Call of Duty Wiki.

The VX Compact Is BO7’s Newest Assault Rifle and It Hits Different

The VX Compact is a bullpup assault rifle added to Black Ops 7 on June 11, 2026 as part of Season 4. Treyarch describes it as trading damage per shot for a fast fire rate, with a base magazine of 25 rounds, minimal muzzle flare, and manageable recoil that makes tracking moving targets easier than most ARs in the current pool.

It supports attachments across eight slots including Optic, Muzzle, Barrel, Underbarrel, Magazine, Rear Grip, Stock, and more. The weapon currently has 42 unlock levels and three magazine options available through progression.

How to unlock the VX Compact:
Complete any 9 weapon class challenges during the Illicit Cargo Event, running from June 11 to June 25, 2026. You can mix and match across all four modes, so if Warzone and Multiplayer are your comfort zones, you can skip Zombies challenges entirely and still hit the nine required to claim the gun.

If you miss the event window, the VX Compact will move to the Armory afterward, where you can unlock it through an alternative challenge.

The Illicit Cargo Event Is a Timed BO3 Camo Reunion

The Illicit Cargo Camo Event is live now and runs until June 25, 2026 at 10 AM PT. It brings back eight iconic weapon camos from Black Ops 3, earnable by completing weapon class specific challenges across Multiplayer, Zombies, Co-Op and Endgame, and Warzone.

The structure works like the Escalation Directive event from Season 2. Each mode has its own set of nine weapon class challenges, one per weapon category. Completing all challenges in a single mode earns you that mode’s mastery camo.

The rewards:

  • Complete all weapon class challenges in Co-Op and Endgame to earn the mode-specific camo

  • Complete all weapon class challenges in Multiplayer to earn the Haptic animated camo

  • Complete all weapon class challenges in Zombies to earn the mode-specific camo

  • Complete all weapon class challenges in Warzone to earn the mode-specific camo

  • Complete every single challenge across all four modes to unlock Cherry Fizz, the fan-favorite Black Ops 3 mastery camo, as the ultimate reward

Important note for Warzone-only players: Earning Cherry Fizz requires owning a full copy of Black Ops 7. You need access to Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame to complete all four mode mastery requirements. Warzone-only accounts can still earn the Warzone-specific camo and contribute toward the nine challenges needed for the VX Compact.
