How to Solve the Electrodynamic Cenobium Riddle in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader
While exploring the Electrodynamic Cenobium on Rykad Minoris in Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, you’ll encounter the Data Altar of Sacred Analysis. Solving its riddle opens a hidden chamber containing a powerful early-game weapon and a useful accessory. The challenge is that the game provides virtually no clues about the correct solution, making it one of the more obscure puzzles in the campaign.
Where to Find the Data Altar of Sacred Analysis
The Data Altar is located inside the Electrodynamic Cenobium during the main story on Rykad Minoris.
As you explore the facility, you’ll find it in one of the side rooms near the area where your party is ambushed by acolytes. Since it’s positioned along the main exploration route, it’s difficult to overlook.
Interacting with the altar prompts a servitor to ask you to recite the First Galvanic Hymn by selecting three verses in the correct order.
Data Altar Puzzle Solution
Neither the servitor nor your companions provide the verses needed to complete the hymn, so the solution must be discovered through experimentation.
Choose the following dialogue options in this exact order:
Step Dialogue Option Choice 1 “…the Omnissiah, from whom the holy discharge springeth forth.” Option 2 2 “…the arcane key that closeth the circuit.” Option 5 3 “…the immortal reason that hath created the spark.” Option 4Selecting the verses in the correct sequence completes the First Galvanic Hymn and unlocks the mechanism hidden behind the altar.
Hidden Room Rewards
Successfully solving the puzzle causes a nearby wall to slide open, revealing a secret room with a loot chest.
Among the rewards are:
- Arc Rifle
- Pinpointing Visor
- Additional trade goods
Arc Rifle
The Arc Rifle is one of the strongest weapons available at this stage of the campaign.
Its attacks deal heavy damage while releasing electrical arcs that jump to nearby enemies, allowing it to clear clustered groups efficiently.
Because the lightning can also strike allies, it’s best used carefully when melee companions such as Abelard or Heinrix are engaged with the target.
Pinpointing Visor
The Pinpointing Visor grants a 15% increased critical hit chance against enemies with 50% health or less.
The accessory works particularly well on characters that make multiple attacks per turn, since each individual hit can benefit from the increased critical chance.
Good users include:
- Argenta
- Soldier-focused Rogue Traders using burst-fire weapons
- Dedicated sniper builds that specialize in finishing weakened enemies
Although the Electrodynamic Cenobium puzzle offers little guidance, solving it is well worth the effort. The Arc Rifle provides exceptional firepower early in the campaign, while the Pinpointing Visor remains a valuable accessory for critical hit builds well beyond Rykad Minoris.
