Toxin Filtering Membrane is a rare crafting material introduced in Palworld 1.0. It’s primarily used to craft the Corrosive Mist Mask, an accessory that completely protects you from the hazardous gas found throughout parts of the World Tree region.

Here’s where to find Toxin Filtering Membrane, how to defeat the required boss, and what you’ll need to craft the Corrosive Mist Mask.

Where to Get Toxin Filtering Membrane

At the time of writing, Dandilord is the only known source of Toxin Filtering Membrane.

Dandilord is a Level 78 Alpha Pal found in the Rotmist Root area within the northeastern section of the World Tree.

To reach the encounter:

  1. Travel to Rotmist Root.
  2. Enter the toxic red zone of the World Tree.
  3. Locate the portal leading to Dandilord’s boss arena.

Defeating the boss rewards several items, including Toxin Filtering Membranes.

How to Beat Dandilord

Dandilord is a Grass/Dark-type Pal, making it vulnerable to:

  • Fire
  • Dragon

Bringing powerful Pals with these elements will make the battle significantly easier.

If you plan to capture Dandilord instead of simply defeating it, bring:

  • Sol Spheres
  • Ancient Spheres

These provide the best chance of successfully catching this high-level Alpha Pal.

How to Craft the Corrosive Mist Mask

Before crafting the Corrosive Mist Mask, you’ll first need to unlock its recipe in the Technology menu using Ancient Technology Points.

You’ll then need the following materials:

Material Amount Paloxite 30 Toxin Filtering Membrane 10

The Corrosive Mist Mask must be crafted at an Ancient Workbench.

Building an Ancient Workbench also requires additional advanced materials, including:

  • Soralite
  • Bio Batteries
  • AI Cores

How to Get Paloxite

Paloxite is found throughout the World Tree as large purple crystal deposits.

Unlike standard mining nodes, Paloxite behaves differently.

If you or one of your Pals touches a Paloxite crystal without protection, the deposit disappears immediately.

To safely mine Paloxite, you’ll need to drink World Tree Holy Water beforehand.

World Tree Holy Water is obtained as a random drop from defeating Pals within the World Tree region.

What Does the Corrosive Mist Mask Do?

The Corrosive Mist Mask is an accessory that grants complete immunity to the Corrosive Mist found in the Rotmist areas of the World Tree.

With the mask equipped, you can freely explore toxic zones without taking environmental damage, making it an essential item for extended expeditions through the region.

Do You Need the Corrosive Mist Mask?

Not always.

If Dandilord is in your active party, its Partner Skill also provides immunity to the World’s Tree toxic environmental gas.

That means you have two options for exploring hazardous areas:

  • Equip the Corrosive Mist Mask for permanent protection.
  • Bring Dandilord with you to gain the same immunity through its Partner Skill.

The mask is still the more flexible option, as it frees up a party slot while allowing you to safely explore every Corrosive Mist area in the World Tree.
