Meteorite Fragments are a rare late-game crafting material in Palworld, used to create advanced weapons, ammunition, and exclusive Pal equipment. Unlike ores and other mining resources, Meteorite Fragments are only available through special world events, making them much harder to collect without the right strategy.
Here’s how Meteorite Events work and the fastest ways to farm Meteorite Fragments.
How to Get Meteorite Fragments
Meteorite Fragments are obtained during the Falling Meteorite dynamic event.
By default, this event occurs approximately every 2.5 to 3 hours of real time, although the interval can be adjusted through your world’s custom settings.
When a Meteorite Event begins:
- A red notification appears on your screen.
- A falling meteorite icon is added to the compass at the top of the HUD.
- Travel to the marked location.
- Mine the meteorite to collect Meteorite Fragments.
Since the event is time-limited, reaching the impact site quickly will help you maximize your rewards.
Defeat Xenovader for Additional Fragments
Meteorite crash sites are guarded by Xenovader, an aggressive alien Pal.
Defeating Xenovader provides another opportunity to obtain Meteorite Fragments in addition to those gathered from the meteorite itself.
According to the source information, players can also:
- Catch Xenovader
- Breed additional Xenovader
- Process them using the Pal Disassembly Conveyor
This provides an additional way to obtain Meteorite Fragments after securing the Pal.
How to Increase Meteorite Events
If you’re playing in your own world, you can reduce the wait time between Meteorite Events through the world’s custom settings.
To change the interval:
- Return to the Main Menu.
- Select your save file.
- Choose Change World Settings.
- Open Custom Settings.
- Locate Meteorite/Supply Drop Interval.
By default, the interval is set to 180 minutes (three hours of real time).
You can lower this setting to as little as one minute, causing Meteorite Events to occur much more frequently.
Be Careful When Lowering the Event Timer
Reducing the Meteorite/Supply Drop Interval can greatly increase your farming efficiency, but it also comes with a potential downside.
If meteorites and supply drops are allowed to accumulate without being cleared, the increased number of active event objects may affect game performance or even cause crashes. Regularly collecting meteorites helps prevent too many event nodes from building up.
Best Way to Farm Meteorite Fragments
Farming Method Effectiveness Mining Falling Meteorites Excellent Defeating Xenovader Excellent Breeding Xenovader and using the Pal Disassembly Conveyor Consistent additional source Lowering the Meteorite/Supply Drop Interval Best for increasing event frequencyFor the fastest results, reduce the Meteorite/Supply Drop Interval in your world settings, respond to each Falling Meteorite event as soon as it appears, and defeat the Xenovader guarding each crash site. Combining these methods will help you build a steady supply of Meteorite Fragments for late-game crafting.
