LoL Patch 26.12 Nerfs Lee Sin, Orianna, and Nocturne While Buffing 8 Champions
Patch 26.12 lands on live servers on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, and it is one of the most champion-heavy updates this season. Riot is touching 14 to 15 champions in a single patch, with the mid lane, jungle, and top lane all seeing notable power shifts.

AatroxMinor Buff Q Sweet Spot outer ring landing damage amplification raised from 70% to 75%. Precision Payoff: Small cumulative damage increase across extended combos that rewards high mechanical tracking accuracy. If you have been grinding ranked on Nocturne, Lee Sin, or Varus, expect your games to feel different immediately. If you have been sitting on Hwei, Syndra, or Sylas waiting for a reason to one-trick, this patch gives you that window. There is also one system change to Teleport that every top laner needs to read before they queue up on June 10.
Here is every confirmed change, why Riot made each call, and which players come out ahead.
The Teleport Change That Will Affect Every Top Laner
The only system change in 26.12 targets the Empowered Teleport shield that top laners unlock by completing the lane quest.
Right now, completing the quest gives you a 30% max health shield that lasts 30 seconds. Players quickly figured out they could teleport short distances just to grab the shield, even in spots where they had no intention of fighting across the map. Riot called this out directly as uninteractive behavior.
The change:
Old: 30% max health shield, 30 second duration
New: 35% max health shield, 10 second duration
The shield is actually larger now, but you only get value from it if you use Teleport aggressively, entering a fight from a distance the way Riot designed it. Parking a Teleport on a ward two steps away just to pocket a long duration shield no longer works. Top laners who play macro-heavy splitpush champions will adjust fine. Those who were using it as a free defensive tool in short range skirmishes lose a meaningful chunk of effective health every time they TP.
Every Champion Being Buffed in Patch 26.12
Yuumi Gets Compensation Buffs After Moonstone Nerfs Hit Her Hard
Yuumi’s AP ratios on her core kit are going up because the Moonstone Renewer changes in a previous patch hit enchanter-adjacent champions disproportionately.
Passive Heal AP ratio: 25% → 30%
E Shield AP ratio: 30% → 40%
These are AP ratio buffs, so they only feel significant if you are building AP consistently. Yuumi’s floor does not change much, but her ceiling in organized play and higher elo where players actually build full AP gets a real boost. She has been sitting in weak territory for a few patches and these changes should push her back into a more stable spot.
Jax Mana and Counter Strike Damage Both Go Up
Jax players have been burning mana faster than intended in extended trades and skirmishes. Riot is cutting the early cost of his Q and giving Counter Strike a slightly higher damage ceiling.
Q Mana Cost: 65 → 50
E % Target Max Health Damage (Min): 3.5% → 4%
E % Target Max Health Damage (Max): 7% → 8%
The Q mana reduction is most noticeable in lane when you are using Q to extend trades or dodge abilities. The Counter Strike damage bump rewards correct usage against tanky targets, which is exactly the matchup where Jax struggles most right now.
Gwen Gets Two Buffs That Target Her Early Weakness
Gwen’s Q base damage per mini snip and her E attack speed bonus are both going up.
Q Base Damage per Mini Snip: 10–24 → 10–26
E Bonus Attack Speed: 20–80% → 30–80%
The E change is the more impactful one. Starting at 30% attack speed instead of 20% means she ramps into her mid-range damage window faster, which matters most in trades against tankier matchups like K’Sante or Sion. Her late game ceiling does not change since both values cap at 80%, but her early fight tempo gets noticeably better.
Aatrox Sweet Spot Gets a Small Damage Boost
Aatrox is getting one targeted buff to his Q sweet spot.
Q Sweet Spot Bonus Amp: 70% → 75%
This is a small change but it compounds quickly over a fight. Aatrox’s whole identity is landing the outer ring of Q, and every full combo trades up slightly more health now. It will not move him into a new tier on its own, but players who already hit sweet spots consistently will feel it.
Hwei Gets Four Changes Across His Kit
Hwei lost a lot of utility when changes to slow-stacking reduced how effective his CC-damage combos were. Riot is giving back some of that lost power across multiple abilities.
QQ AP Ratio: 70% → 80%
QW AP Ratio: 25–87.5% → 30–105%
QE Slow: 30% → 35%
E Cooldown: 13–11 seconds → 12–10 seconds
Four changes at once is a significant investment from Riot. The QW buff is especially notable because his AP ratio scaling at max rank goes from 87.5% to 105%, meaning full AP Hwei pulls noticeably ahead. The QE slow increase also makes his setup sequences more reliable, which is where he lost the most ground in recent patches.
Syndra Gets Better Q Damage and More Base Health
Syndra has room to grow in solo queue and Riot is giving her both more damage and more durability.
Q Base Damage: 80–220 → 90–230
Q AP Ratio: 65% → 70%
Base Health: 563 → 583
The base health increase is small but meaningful in the levels 1 to 6 window where Syndra gets bullied out of trades by high auto attack pressure. The Q buffs make her poke more punishing throughout the game, and at 70% AP ratio her Q damage at full build gets noticeably higher.
Tristana Gets AD Growth and a Mana Cost Cut on Her Q
Tristana had a mana cost added to Rapid Fire in a past patch, which created real problems because of her low base mana pool. Riot is walking that back.
AD Growth: 2.9 → 3.4
Q Mana Cost: 30–50 → 15–35
The AD growth buff means Tristana scales slightly better into late game auto attack windows. The Q mana cost cut is the more immediately noticeable change, giving her back the freedom to push waves and look for all-ins without rationing mana as tightly.
Sylas Picks Up Q and W Buffs
Sylas gets more damage on Q and a significantly better W heal scaling.
Q Base Damage: 40–120 → 40–140
Q AP Ratio: 40% → 45%
W Heal AP Ratio: 20–30% → 30–60%
The W heal change is the bigger deal. Going from a 20–30% AP ratio to a 30–60% AP ratio means Sylas heals dramatically more in fights when he has AP items. With items like Shadowflame and Lich Bane in his build, his sustain during skirmishes goes from passable to genuinely threatening.
Every Champion Being Nerfed in Patch 26.12
AP Xin Zhao Healing Gets Tapped Down Hard
AP Xin Zhao has been generating uninteractive lane states by healing through damage trades with almost no counterplay. Riot is targeting his passive healing specifically.
Passive Healing: 3–5% max health → 2–5% max health
Heal AP Ratio: 45–80% → 40–70%
W Mana Cost: 60–40 → 60 (flat)
E Mana Cost: 50 → 60
The early healing nerf is the headline change. At level 1, his passive heal drops from 3% to 2% max health, which makes the level 1 and 2 trades far less absurd. The mana cost increases also mean he cannot freely chain abilities in lane without managing resources.
Nocturne Jungle Loses Q Damage
Nocturne has been one of the strongest jungle picks for several patches and is getting a Q damage reduction.
Q Damage: 65–245 → 65–225
The change is targeted at his mid-game clear efficiency and skirmish damage. At max rank, losing 20 damage per Q cast adds up across a full fight and a full clear. It is not a kit overhaul, but it is enough to slightly lower his dominance in extended jungle skirmishes.
Lee Sin Gets Three Nerfs After His Recent Buffs Overshot
Lee Sin’s buffs on Patch 26.10 were designed to restore fun to his kit by giving back dash access. The problem is they also pushed his power too high in higher elo, so Riot is pulling back some numbers while keeping the shape of those changes.
AD Growth: 3.7 → 3.4
Q1 and Q2 Base Damage: -5 at each rank
Q1 and Q2 Bonus AD Ratios: 95% → 90%
The AD growth nerf hurts Lee Sin across long games. The Q nerfs reduce the burst ceiling on his early assassin patterns. He is still the same champion after this patch, just slightly less forgiving when ahead.
Orianna Gets Nerfed Despite a Sub-48% Win Rate
This is the most controversial change in 26.12. Orianna sits below 48% win rate in solo queue but Riot is nerfing her anyway because she is an absolute fixture in pro play. The solution is to redistribute base stats into AP ratio scaling, making her weaker in the hands of players who do not build AP optimally and stronger for those who do.
Passive Damage per Stack: 20% → 15%
Base Health: 585 → 565
E Resistances: 6–30 → 5–25
E Damage AP Ratio: 30% → 40%
E Shield AP Ratio: 45% → 50%
R Base Damage: 250–550 → 225–475
R AP Ratio: 95% → 115%
The R changes are worth reading carefully. Her ult base damage drops significantly at every rank, but the AP ratio goes from 95% to 115%. This means full AP Shadowflame Orianna actually hits harder on ultimates than before, while players running hybrid or utility builds get punished. This is intentional: Riot wants Shadowflame to be her core purchase over Rocket Belt.
Ryze Loses Base Health and Base AD
Ryze has been winning lanes too easily by chaining W, E, and autos for consistent early poke. These nerfs target his pre-item durability.
Base Health: 645 → 620
Base AD: 58 → 55
A 25 HP reduction and 3 base AD loss is not massive, but Ryze is a champion who lives or dies by small numbers. His early level 1 to 3 all-in potential takes a real hit, and players who were relying on his early base stats to bully matchups will feel the difference before their first Catalyst spike.
Varus Static Shiv Build Gets Kneecapped
Varus has been overperforming specifically because of the Static Shiv build, and Riot is adjusting his passive to reduce how explosively he snowballs off champion kills.
Passive AD and AP on non-champion kills: 10% → 11% of total attack speed (small buff)
Passive AD and AP on champion takedowns: 25% → 33% of total attack speed (compensation buff)
Passive Attack Speed on champion takedowns: 50% → 30% (significant nerf)
Q Bonus AD Ratio: 100–150% → 80–120%
The attack speed on takedowns dropping from 50% to 30% is the main nerf. Varus was hitting a threshold of attack speed after kills that let him near-instantly proc Static Shiv multiple times in fights. That snowball loop gets cut significantly here. The Q ratio nerf also reduces his burst ceiling with full build.
