(Mythic-tier wrap)

This is a three-way collab between Epic GamesHyundai Motor Company, and the FIFA World Cup 2026, which is currently being played across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Hyundai is the only auto brand involved in both the Rocket League and Fortnite sides of the event, so this car is tied to that partnership directly.

If you have never touched Rocket League or haven’t opened it in years, that does not matter. The challenges are completable by any skill level, though one of them will take time no matter how good you are. Below is every challenge, every reward that crosses over, and the fastest way through the grind.

One Setup Step That Players Keep Missing

Before you touch a single match, you need to lock in a step that three of the 10 challenges depend on.

Open the event menu in Rocket League, then hit the “Toggle Event Details” button in the bottom-left corner of the screen. On PlayStation, press Square. On Xbox, press X. You’ll see a “Represent a Country” prompt.

Pick any of the 48 countries in the FIFA World Cup 2026 and confirm. You get a World Cup ’26 country title and a FIFA World Cup ’26 Octane Decal for free. The choice is permanent for the duration of the event, so you cannot switch teams.

Now equip either the country title or the Octane Decal (or both) on your Octane before jumping into matches. Three of the challenges specifically require these items to be active. If they are sitting in your inventory but not equipped, your goal count will not register.

Every Challenge You Need to Complete

Here are all 10 challenges required to unlock the IONIQ 6, plus what each one gives you:

Left side of the event menu:

  • Get 15 Assists in Online Matches — Reward: a drop with potential Fortnite items

  • Score 20 Goals with Country Title or Octane Decal equipped — Reward: FIFA 2026 Rocket Boost (transfers to Fortnite)

  • Score 35 Goals total with Country Title or Octane Decal equipped — Reward: Animated Octane Decal (Rocket League only for now)

  • Score 50 Goals total with Country Title or Octane Decal equipped — Reward: FIFA 2026 Goal Explosion (Rocket League only for now)

  • Gain 6 XP Levels — Reward: Hyundai IONIQ 6 Wheels (transfers to Fortnite)

Right side of the event menu:

  • Earn 35,000 XP in Online Matches — Reward: drop with potential Fortnite items

  • Get 10,000 Total Points in Online Matches — Reward: drop with potential Fortnite items

  • Hit the Ball 500 Times in Online Matches — Reward: Deluxe Drop

  • Get 20 Epic Saves in Online Matches — Reward: drop with potential Fortnite items

  • Win by 2 or More Goals in 5 Online Matches — Reward: Exotic Drop

Complete all 10 and the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Line car body is added to your account and transfers to Fortnite.

The Three Challenges That Will Actually Slow You Down

Most of these are just background grind. You’ll knock out the XP challenges and level-up challenges naturally. Three specific ones deserve real attention.

Hit the Ball 500 Times

This is the one that catches people off guard. Five hundred ball contacts sounds like a lot because it is. A standard 3v3 match puts the ball in everyone’s path, but you are competing with teammates for touches.

The fastest known method: go into 1v1 mode and, if you can communicate through Quick Chat, both players can agree to spend time just hitting the ball back and forth at the wall. That way you both knock out the challenge faster. If the other player refuses, at least in 1v1 you will always be the one hitting the ball when your side is clear.

Score 50 Total Goals with Decals Equipped

The three goal-scoring challenges stack. You hit 20, then you need 15 more to reach 35, then 15 more to reach 50. The game tracks cumulative goals, not separate totals. Again, 1v1 is the mode to use here because you touch the ball more and score more goals per match compared to 3v3 or 4v4.

Win by 2 or More Goals in 5 Matches

This one can frustrate you at the worst moments. If you are winning 3 to 2 and the opponent scores in the last ten seconds, the match no longer counts, even if you were up by two for most of the game. The margin has to exist at the final whistle. Play aggressively in the last minute and do not let your foot off the gas if you need this challenge done.

Confirmed Rewards That Cross Over to Fortnite

Not every reward from the Rocket League event comes to Fortnite. Here is exactly what does:

Item How to Earn In Fortnite? FIFA 2026 Rocket Boost Score 20 goals with decal equipped Yes Hyundai IONIQ 6 Wheels Gain 6 XP Levels Yes Hyundai IONIQ 6 Car Body Complete all 10 challenges Yes Hyundai IONIQ 6: LA Mode Decal Drive 8,000 meters with IONIQ 6 equipped Yes

The animated Octane decal and FIFA 2026 goal explosion are Rocket League only for now, though Epic could add cross-game support later.

The Bonus Reward: LA Mode Decal

After you unlock the car, you can go after one more free item. Drive 8,000 meters in online matches with the Hyundai IONIQ 6 equipped and you get the Hyundai IONIQ 6: LA Mode Decal, which also transfers to Fortnite.

The quickest way to stack meters: jump into a 4v4 chaos mode, grab every boost pad you see, and just keep the car moving. You don’t need to score, you don’t need to win. Hold the throttle, run laps around the arena perimeter, and collect boost as it respawns. Do this across several matches and the 8,000 meters adds up without you trying.

Extra Quests Worth Knowing About

Two bonus quests run alongside the main 10 and they don’t count toward unlocking the car, but they do have perks:

  • Play 15 Online Matches (repeatable up to 5 times): Each completion gives you a bonus drop with a chance at Fortnite-transferable items.

  • Win 10 Online Matches (infinitely repeatable): Every 10 wins instantly levels up your battle pass once. If you’re grinding ranked or just want free BP levels, this stacks up quickly.

Can You Skip Rocket League Entirely?

Yes, through two routes.

Fortnite-native LTE launches on June 25 and runs to July 19, featuring the IONIQ 6 N Line through weekly missions inside Fortnite itself. You won’t need to open Rocket League at all once that goes live.

Files found inside Fortnite also point to the return of a “Summer Party” quest line, similar to how the Cybertruck was handled previously. If that launches with the scheduled June 18 patch (update 41.10), it could offer another in-game path to the IONIQ 6 before the Fortnite LTE even starts. That’s not confirmed yet, but the foundation is already in the game’s code.

If you miss the event entirely, the IONIQ 6 is expected to hit the Item Shop down the line, though that will cost V-Bucks.
