The Martial Monk Outfit was introduced in Crimson Desert’s 1.13 update, offering players a lightweight, cloth-based armor set inspired by traditional martial artists. Designed to complement hand-to-hand combat, the outfit is spread across several activities, with most pieces becoming available during Chapter 9 of the main story.

Here’s where to find every part of the Martial Monk set and what you’ll need to unlock it.

Martial Monk Outfit Locations

The outfit consists of four pieces obtained through a combination of training challenges and story progression.

Outfit Piece How to Obtain Martial Artist’s Cloth Garb Complete the Steel Grip Against the Chest Goyen’s Advice Training Challenge. Martial Monk’s Cloth Gloves Complete the Path of the Disciple quest in Chapter 9. Martial Monk’s Cloth Boots Complete the Path of the Disciple quest in Chapter 9. Martial Monk’s Cloth Robe Defeat T’rukan during the True Strength quest in Chapter 9.

How to Get the Martial Artist’s Cloth Garb

The chest piece is awarded for completing the Steel Grip Against the Chest training challenge.

To activate it, interact with the required Sealed Abyss Artifact, located west of the Sanctum of Penitence and southeast of Pororin Village.

The objective is straightforward:

  • Defeat three enemies within one minute
  • Use wrestling skills only

Abilities such as Clothesline, Body Slam, and Dropkick all count toward the challenge.

Equipping gloves instead of standard weapons helps prevent accidental weapon attacks that could invalidate your progress.

How to Get the Martial Monk’s Cloth Gloves and Boots

Both the gloves and boots are earned through the Chapter 9 main story.

Continue the campaign until you reach The Sage of the Desert, where the Six Statues and the Beast questline becomes available.

Progress through the following quests:

  • Morning Fog
  • Jijeong Temple in Chaos
  • Path to Enlightenment

Completing these objectives unlocks Path of the Disciple. Finishing that quest rewards both the Martial Monk’s Cloth Gloves and the Martial Monk’s Cloth Boots.

How to Get the Martial Monk’s Cloth Robe

The robe is obtained shortly afterward during the True Strength quest.

After completing Path of the Disciple, the next story mission sends you to confront T’rukan. Defeat the boss to receive the Martial Monk’s Cloth Robe as a quest reward.
