This is different from the original Hollow Knight experience with Cornifer. However, Shakra will not just show up instantly in the area. Follow these steps to purchase the map from the merchant:

    1. Go to The Marrow and enter the large lava-filled room. 
    2. Start traveling upward then to its left until you reach a shaft room with crumbling ledges.
    3. After reaching the top of the shaft, continue going on its left through a passage. 
    4. From there, you will hear a distinct sound of singing which echoes through the caverns.
    5. You’ll encounter numerous bug corpses and copper rings throughout the area when approaching Shakra’s location.
    6. After meeting her, Shakra will strike a warrior stance as a greeting. You can see her along the main path just before the Bell Beast Boss fight. 

Essential Maps and Tools Available

There are several items in Shakra’s inventory that will help transform your exploration experience. It includes the maps for areas such as Mosslands for Moss Grotto area and The Marrow for your current region. You can get the Mosslands Map for 40 Rosary Beads while The Marrow for 50 Rosary Beads.

Once you get enough Rosary Beads, you can purchase the maps and tools for your exploration. What makes Silksong different is that it uses a dual currency system unlike the original Hollow Knight. So, enemies drop varying currency which may affect how you collect it.

For instance, it is easier to gather Rosary Beads from your environment where it hangs from ceilings. Besides this, you can find it draped over statues, or buried in hidden mounds throughout the Pharloom. Just simply attack these environmental sources to dislodge it and collect from the ground. 

Also, you will find several Rosary Beads while exploring the areas around Shakra’s initial location. Keep in mind these patterns in Silksong for efficient collection:

    • Beast-like enemies: Drops you Shell Shards
    • Humanoid enemies: Provides Rosary Beads

Shakra’s Locations Throughout Pharloom

Shakra will move location after your initial encounter in The Marrow. You will find her following the Bell Beast Boss fight, moving to the central area where NPCs gather. Make sure to continuously access her cartographic services for efficient navigation.

Once you are in the Deep Docks area, you will find her on the right of the elevator leading to a shrine. The shrine will allow you to spend 30 Rosary Beads for a healing and save point. You can purchase the Deep Docks maps for 50 Rosary Beads from the location.

She will continuously appear in new regions throughout your adventure. Make sure to have enough Rosary Beads to purchase her maps and mapping tools for easier exploration.
