Genshin Impact Version 7.0 is shaping up to be one of the game’s biggest updates yet, introducing Snezhnaya, the long-awaited nation ruled by the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa. The update is expected to expand Teyvat with a massive new region, playable characters, weapons, artifacts, enemies, and gameplay mechanics centered around the new Stellar reactions.

Several leakers also claim that Alyosha will be available for free after completing the Snezhnaya Archon Quest. If true, this would continue HoYoverse’s tradition of giving players a free four-star character whenever a new nation is introduced.

New Characters

Odette

Odette is rumored to be a 5-Star Cryo Sword character specializing in Stellar Swirl reactions.

According to early information, she functions primarily as an off-field sub-DPS who enhances reaction-based teams through continuous Cryo application and Stellar damage bonuses. Story leaks also describe Odette as an assassin with ties to Alyosha and Vodyanitsa, suggesting she’ll play an important role in Snezhnaya’s main storyline.

Alyosha

Alyosha is expected to join the roster as a 4-Star Electro Polearm support.

His kit reportedly focuses on Stellar Conduct teams through healing, buffs, and off-field Electro application. His Elemental Burst summons a loyal hunting hound named Tugarin, which attacks enemies while applying Electro and supporting allies.

If the free-character rumors prove accurate, Alyosha could become one of the strongest free-to-play supports available at launch.

Cryo Traveler

Version 7.0 is also expected to introduce the Cryo Traveler, allowing players to resonate with the Tsaritsa and unlock the final elemental alignment.

Leaked information suggests the Cryo Traveler will function as a reaction-focused support capable of enhancing Stellar mechanics while dealing consistent Cryo damage. Some reports also claim the Traveler will receive a new signature weapon during the update.

Leaks suggest Version 7.0 will add several new weapons, including an entire craftable Snezhnaya weapon series.

New Enemies and Bosses

Only a handful of Snezhnaya’s enemies have appeared in promotional material so far.
