The Lucky Escape Skill in Forza Horizon 6 is required for various Festival Playlist objectives, Daily Challenges, and Skill Point farming. While many players assume a simple Near Miss is enough, Lucky Escape actually requires combining two different driving actions into a single maneuver.

Here’s how to trigger the skill consistently.

What Is the Lucky Escape Skill?

Lucky Escape is awarded when you perform a Drift (or E-Drift) while narrowly avoiding another vehicle.

To earn it, the game must register both of the following at the same time:

  • A Drift or E-Drift
  • A Near Miss with another vehicle

Simply driving close to traffic without drifting won’t trigger the combo.

How to Get Lucky Escape

Follow these steps to make the skill easier to earn:

  1. Choose a vehicle that’s easy to control in a drift.
  2. Drive to an area with steady traffic.
  3. Build up to a moderate or high speed.
  4. Begin drifting before reaching another vehicle.
  5. Pass extremely close without making contact.

If both the Drift and Near Miss register simultaneously, the Lucky Escape notification will appear on screen.

Best Places to Farm Lucky Escape

Certain roads make the challenge much easier than others.

Highways

Highways are the best location thanks to their fast-moving traffic and multiple lanes. The extra space gives you more room to maintain a controlled drift while passing vehicles at close range.

Wide City Streets

Large boulevards with several lanes also work well. The additional width makes it easier to adjust your drift angle and thread between traffic without colliding.

Roads With Long Sightlines

Routes that provide clear visibility of approaching traffic are another excellent option. Being able to see vehicles well in advance gives you more time to set up your drift and accurately time the Near Miss.

Tips for Consistent Success

If you’re struggling to trigger Lucky Escape, focus on control rather than speed. Enter the drift slightly before reaching the traffic vehicle and aim to pass as close as possible without touching it.

Busy highways remain the fastest farming method, as the constant flow of vehicles provides repeated opportunities to chain Drift and Near Miss actions until the Lucky Escape Skill appears.
