Football Manager 2026 has finally unveiled its revamped interface, delivering a cleaner and more modern look. The new portal-based homepage, redesigned navigation, and customizable features promise a fresh experience while keeping familiar elements intact.
A New Portal System for Football Manager 2026
The central feature of the Football Manager 2026 UI overhaul is the portal — a redesigned homepage that organizes everything into modular tiles and cards. These tiles display snapshots of key updates, like match results and fixtures, which can be expanded for deeper insights. Unlike Football Manager 2024’s static homepage, this layout aims to improve usability without overwhelming players.
The left side focuses on streamlined messages, replacing the old inbox structure, while the right side displays six customizable tiles. Whether checking Brighton’s win over Everton or Spurs’ draw with Man City, the information is faster to access and visually cleaner.
Redesigned Navigation and Centralized Controls
FM26 also moves away from the left-side menu and introduces six main navigation tabs at the top: Portal, Squad, Recruitment, Match Day, Club, and Career. Each section includes submenus for deeper access, letting players manage squads, set tactics, track loans, and plan schedules more intuitively.
The Match Day tab centralizes tactics, set pieces, and opposition reports, while Recruitment refines the player search experience. Meanwhile, the Career tab hints at an expanded coaching progression system, giving more visual feedback on badges and managerial growth.
Customization, Bookmarks, and Streamlined Player Profiles
One of the most-requested improvements arrives with the bookmark system. Players can now pin frequently visited pages like youth squads, loan stats, or league tables for instant access. While most of the interface remains fixed for now, this flexibility offers a welcome upgrade.
Player profiles also get a major refresh. Attributes are now highlighted front and center, with supporting details accessible through expandable cards. This reduces clutter while making scouting and squad planning far more efficient.

Search, FMPedia, and Release Details
The enhanced search tool now connects managers directly to tactical insights, guides, and tutorials via FMPedia — an in-game knowledge hub. This integration helps both newcomers and veterans master Football Manager’s complex systems without leaving the game.
Football Manager 2026 launches on November 4, 2025, priced at £49.99. Pre-purchasing on Steam offers a 10% discount, while authorized resellers may provide additional savings.
