Final Fantasy 10 protagonist Tidus is officially returning in Final Fantasy Resonance, Square Enix’s upcoming HD-2D RPG launching on October 22. While fans can also revisit Tidus in the recently announced remasters of Final Fantasy 10 and Final Fantasy 10-2, Resonance marks his latest appearance in an all-new adventure.

As one of the franchise’s most beloved protagonists, Tidus joins an impressive lineup of heroes drawn from across Final Fantasy history.

Tidus Appears as a Vision

In Final Fantasy Resonance, Tidus is introduced as a Vision, a powerful ally that players can summon during battle.

Visions are heroes pulled from different worlds and timelines through the game’s crystal-based lore, serving as Resonance’s take on the series’ long-running tradition of summons. Rather than being tied to a gacha system, these characters are integrated directly into the game’s progression.

Tidus serves as the representative for Final Fantasy 10, bringing one of the franchise’s most recognizable protagonists into the new title.
