Streamer Mode Introduction and System Changes

Riot Games also introduced a new feature called Streamer Mode with the recent LoL Patch 15.3 update. Once enabled, this setting replaces the account names with champion names in the loading screen through the end of the game. This seeks to fight stream sniping and further reduce streamer harassment.

With this, more players or content creators can enjoy their streaming experience while playing League of Legends. Other than this new feature, there were also system updates that they implemented to enhance gameplay. One of them is through increasing the Attack Speed Cap to 3.0 from 2.5. It’ll help players to keep pace of their late-game attacks with evolving champions’ power levels.

Moreover, Riot also adjusted the dragon soul system which starts with Chemtech Soul. This received a buff to below-50%-health effect (now 13% increased damage and damage reduction, up from 11%). Plus, they reduced Cloud Soul’s movement speed bonus from 20% to 15% to level its play with other champions.

Cosmetic Updates and Bounty System Adjustments

LoL Patch 15.3 also refined the champion bounty system based on community feedback. There have been situations where single players attempt to carry their losing teams. Now, they decreased requirements for bounty suppression and full removal of losing teams’ bounties. These all after the Objective Bounties spawn.

Apart from these, the LoL Patch 15.3 arrives with new skins including Dumpling Darlings collection of Syndra and Amumu. Players can avail of these latest cosmetics through the Mythic Shop.

MacOS and DirectX, ARAM and Swiftplay Updates

One of the highlights of the recent LoL Patch 15.3 is these system updates to improve the gameplay experience. Riot Games brought changes for MacOS and Direct 11 users in this patch note launched on February 5, 2025.

MacOS users are about to experience the transition from OpenGL to Metal graphics technology soon. Meanwhile, Windows users will receive DirectX 11 upgrades to enhance game stability and performance in their devices. Some of the changes may actually require some players to do hardware updates.

Besides, Riot’s LoL Patch 15.3 made champion-specific adjustments for their game’s ARAM mode. Also, they implemented a buff for the Statikk Shiv item whereas they raised Electrospark Damage dealt against champions to 70. Overall, here are the notable champions that receive adjustments:

Briar

  • Decreased damage taken to 95% and his Healing done to 105%

Zilean

  • Reduced passive, W, and E cooldowns significantly while raising R Heal Ratio to 250%.

Ashe

  • Shorten W cool down to 18/17/16/15/14.

Meanwhile, Swiftplay mode changes its pacing by including a new sudden death mechanic. This begins at 25 minutes and will gradually weaken structures throughout. This will guarantee players for the game to end by 36 minutes at the latest. It’s a response to the concerns of players about match length.

Conclusion

That’s everything Riot Games prepared in the latest update of LoL Patch 15.3. Definitely, they prioritize providing game balance to ensure a striking gameplay experience for players. Moreover, it makes the game extra challenging by having to apply different strategies throughout the patch duration.
