Summer Jam is officially back in Clash of Clans, and it runs through the entire month of July. The event rotates discounted upgrade costs across gold, elixir, and dark elixir, then finishes with a week where everything is discounted at once.

Active Roadmap & Event Progression
Gold Quest Window Launches the structural gold progression discount phase running from July 1 to July 8, 2026 Elixir Quest Phase Switches active event targets to primary pink elixir economies from July 8 to July 15, 2026 Dark Elixir Phase Deploys dark elixir pricing rollbacks and Unlimited Heroes loops from July 15 to July 22, 2026 Everything Quest Combines all three resource cost discounts and mine multipliers from July 22 to August 1, 2026If you have been sitting on a stack of gold waiting for a good reason to spend it, this is that reason. The gold discount window only lasts from July 1 to July 8, so anyone who starts upgrades late is leaving free value on the table. Town Hall 16 and below get a bigger break than Town Hall 17 and 18 this time, which is a real change from last year’s flat discount for everyone.
Past the discounts, Supercell also fixed one of the most annoying parts of last year’s event. Heroes can now stay active in attacks while they upgrade during the dark elixir stage, something players complained about loudly in 2025. Here is the full breakdown of dates, discount numbers, and the six new hero skins landing alongside the Barbarian Odyssey season.
The Full Summer Jam Schedule, Stage by Stage
Summer Jam splits into four stages that run back to back for the whole month. Each one boosts a different resource before rolling into the next.
Gold Quest, July 1 to July 8: gold upgrade costs and times are cut, gold mines produce and store 2.5 times more
Elixir Quest, July 8 to July 15: same discount structure, but for elixir upgrades and elixir collectors
Dark Elixir Quest, July 15 to July 22: dark elixir upgrades get discounted, hero upgrades become the priority, and heroes stay usable in battle while upgrading thanks to the Unlimited Hero event
Everything Quest, July 22 to August 1: gold, elixir, and dark elixir discounts and collector boosts all run together
Town Hall 16 and below get 40 percent off upgrade cost and time during each stage. Town Hall 17 and 18 get 25 percent off, the same rate as last year. Whatever discount is active when you start an upgrade locks in for that stage, so starting a Town Hall 16 upgrade on July 7 still nets the 40 percent rate even if you push to Town Hall 17 mid upgrade. That locked rate resets once the event moves into a new stage.
Why the Discount Timing Actually Matters
The discount percentage is not the only thing worth planning around. Gold, elixir, and dark elixir collectors are boosted by 2.5 times their normal output and storage during their respective stage, which means loot from raiding and farming piles up faster too. If you are grinding trophies or resources for a base rebuild, timing your farming attacks to each stage gets you more per raid than usual.
Summer Jam 2026 starts tomorrow (1st July 2026)!

One detail worth locking in before July 8: get your gold upgrades started and your builders queued before the stage flips to elixir, because you will not get the gold discount back until the Everything Quest later in the month. The same logic carries into each following stage. Queue dark elixir hero upgrades before July 22 so you are not stuck waiting for a discount that will not return until the final stretch.
Gold Pass Discounts Stack, But Not the Way You Think
If you already run a Gold Pass, the Summer Jam discount and your Gold Pass discount do not add together. They merge, with the Gold Pass discount applied after the Summer Jam discount is taken off the cost. For a Town Hall 18 player, that means the 25 percent Summer Jam discount gets applied first, then the 20 percent Gold Pass reduction comes off what is left. It still saves money, just less than simple addition would suggest.
One thing that does not get touched by any of this: super charged buildings and crafted defenses are excluded from Summer Jam pricing entirely, so budget for those separately.
Unlimited Heroes During the Dark Elixir Stage
From July 15 to July 22, heroes stay available in attacks even while they are upgrading, and their equipment gets boosted to maximum level for the duration. This directly answers the biggest complaint from Summer Jam’s first run in 2025, when players were locked out of using heroes mid upgrade right during the stage meant to reward dark elixir spending. It carries over for one day into the Everything Quest as well, though it does not run the full final week.
Six New Hero Skins Land With the Barbarian Odyssey Season
The July season brings an Ancient Greek theme with six hero skins releasing on a staggered schedule through the month.
Zeus King, available July 1 with Gold Pass purchase, a lightning themed transformation of the Barbarian King
Hydra Duke, available for purchase starting July 5, a serpent design with multiple heads that attack in sync
Medusa Queen, available starting July 7, turned Archer Queen with a snake themed design and a stone knockdown animation
Poseidon Warden, available starting July 9, styled as the Lord of the Seas with separate ground and air attack animations
Midas Prince, available starting July 11, a gold themed skin for the Minion Prince that drops coins as it moves
Hades Champion, available starting July 13, the final skin of the month
Every skin stays purchasable from its release date through the end of July, so there is no rush to buy on day one unless you want to use it right away.
The New Barbarian Odyssey Scenery
Alongside the hero skins, an XL scenery called Barbarian Odyssey launches July 3, giving players the ability to zoom out further than standard sceneries. It includes a Medusa throne area, scattered shipwrecks, and a giant statue players can tap to shatter, adding small interactive touches that most sceneries skip.
