Chapter 6 Season 2 introduces a variety of Fortnite NPCs, but this season lacks some of the more useful options from previous updates. Notably, no NPCs currently sell Shockwaves or other mobility items, which is a major concern given the game’s current mobility meta. Many players rely on Shockwaves, and since they are consumables, having an NPC that sells them would be a game-changer. However, that option isn’t available this season.

Some NPCs offer decent weapons, usually blue-rarity items, but with the introduction of the Black Market, their usefulness has diminished. The Black Market locations provide higher-rarity weapons, making them the better choice for players looking to purchase a powerful shotgun or AR.

Night Rose – The Best NPC This Season

The most valuable NPC this season is Night Rose, found at Demon Dojo. She serves as a Supply Specialist, periodically dropping ammo and useful items like Shockwaves or Bunkers. Surprisingly, she even provides Shockwaves even when none are in your inventory, which is a huge advantage.

Previously, players needed to find Shockwaves before benefiting from a Supply Specialist, but Night Rose can spawn them on her own. This makes her one of the most game-changing NPCs, especially for those struggling with mobility.

Demon Dojo itself is a solid landing spot—not overly contested but still offering decent loot. While it no longer features Mythics, it remains a balanced POI. Night Rose’s room also contains a large number of ammo boxes, making it an ideal location for players who struggle with ammo shortages.

Kendo – The Recon Specialist

The Kendo NPC, located at Shogun Solitude, serves as a Recon Specialist and sells a blue Sentinel Pump shotgun. While that shotgun isn’t the best option, as higher-rarity weapons are available in the Black Market, Kendo’s Recon ability makes him valuable.

As a Recon Specialist, Kendo scans the area, marking enemies, loot, and Sprites. This ability is especially useful this season since many players struggle to find Shockwaves. By marking Air Sprites, Kendo helps players locate them and deposit them in shrines for guaranteed Shockwaves.

Last season, mobility wasn’t a major issue, thanks to items like the Typhoon Blade and Kinetic Blade, but in Chapter 6, Season 2, mobility is much more limited. Kendo’s scans significantly improve awareness, making him a great addition to any team.

However, Shogun Solitude is an isolated POI, which may not suit players who prefer fast-paced fights. Fortunately, the Bratt NPC near Kendo sells a Rift, allowing players to reposition quickly. While the Rift won’t take you across the entire map, it provides enough movement to reach a contested POI for a third-party opportunity.

Jade – The Medic Specialist

The Jade NPC is located at Rainbow Fields and serves as a Medic Specialist, periodically healing players with Chug Splashes. While her healing can be helpful, it doesn’t drastically change gameplay.

Unlike Kendo or Night Rose, Jade’s ability isn’t powerful enough to replace healing items in a player’s inventory. Her presence is useful in certain situations, but she isn’t as impactful as the other NPCs this season.

Subzero & Other Fortnite NPCs

Other NPCs, like Subzero, don’t provide much value. Found between Whiffy Wharf and Lone Wolf Player, he is a basic hireable NPC without any special abilities. He doesn’t sell Subzero Gauntlets, making him one of the least useful NPCs this season.

Additionally, no Heavy Specialist NPC exists yet in Chapter 6, Season 2, though Epic Games may introduce new NPCs as the season progresses.

The Black Market Fornite NPCs & Rifts

All Black Market NPCs offer the ability to purchase a Rift, which can be useful when escaping campers or avoiding fights near Black Market locations. While this isn’t a situation many players have encountered frequently yet, it will likely become more relevant as the season progresses.
