In an interview with Culture Combine at Fan Expo Chicago 2025, he accidentally revealed that they are about to start another franchise. He mentioned it while comparing his role across various games: 

“Same thing with the Batman Arkham Shadow VR game. We’re about to start another one of those. I play Commissioner Gordon.” — Mark Rolston

With this, UploadVR reported that these comments confirm that there is a sequel on the way. 

Studio Confirms Intent For Batman Arkham Shadow 2

Further support comes from FRVR, which cited Camouflaj developer Ryan Payton, director of the original Arkham Shadow VR game. He affirms that the studio’s desire and readiness to build a sequel, according to him, The sequel is “in development,” with actor lines already being recorded

Also, Payton had previously stated that a sequel would be viable “if leadership signs off”, which suggests the studio was prepared and hopeful for a quick follow-up. 

The Arkham Shadow’s Success

Batman: Arkham Shadow was released in late 2024 for Meta Quest 3. Batman: Arkham Shadow is a VR spin-off that gained praise for its combat and faithful adaptation of Arkham mechanics. Currently, it holds a solid 85 Metacritic score.

Despite being a platform-exclusive VR title, it sold over a million copies on the Quest 3, an impressive record in VR markets.
