How to Start the Silver Smugglers Quest

Players will need to go to the northwest corner of the Tamba region to begin this Silver Smugglers quest. In the south of Miyazu Bay, a quest marker appears which will commence the quest. This area is only accessible once the character reaches around level 30. 

Besides, you can try to speak with Lord Hosokawa Fujitaka situated in the west of the marker. However, he’ll be difficult to find as he is somewhat hidden in the area. So, the best approach will be heading straight into the first target which is The Interrogator.

The Interrogator

Location: Onitake Shrine’s cave south, Miyazu Bay, Tamba region. 

Rewards: 270 Mon, Damage with Ability Engraving, Silver Ace Epic Katana, Spy Warning Quest Item 

Don’t be discouraged if you find your contact dead once you arrive at the shrine. Just follow the blood trail up the stairs and you’ll discover a cave entrance. Then, you’ll see The Interrogator waiting for you along with several of his bandits.

If you’re using Naoe, you can use Kunai to eliminate the lookouts first before the final boss. You have to be patient during the encounter since The Interrogator mainly uses poisons attacks and unparryable moves. Meanwhile, Yasuke players can directly attack with his power while properly timing his slower swings. 

The Silver Trader

Location: Genbao Fort’s southwest corner in Mount Unchinakao province, Wakasa.

Rewards: 310 Mon, Buildup on Block Legendary Engraving, Woe’s Fog Legendary Kanabo 

Expect this encounter to be more challenging, particularly for Naoe players at lower levels. He’ll appear in a courtyard surrounded by groups of soldiers. You have to stealthily clear the area before attempting his assassination. Yasuke will be a more effective character to play here with his staggering skills.

The Teppo Merchant

Location: Fukuchiyama Castle grounds’ southwest corner, Fukuchiyama province of Tamba region

Rewards: 225 Mon, Business Proposal Quest Item, The Trading Seal Epic Teppo

As much as possible, avoid any unnecessary combat to prolong your survival. Focus on making your way through the castle up to the target’s location. Use smoke bombs to create a diversion or hide once spotted. You can utilize Yasuke to take advantage of ground attacks while the enemies are knocked down.

The Teppo Smuggler

Location: Yakami Fort’s Center, Yakami province, Tamba region. 

Rewards: 385 Mon, Adrenaline Over Half Health Engraving, Mai’s Warning Epic Teppo, Stay Clear of the Tavern Quest Item

It will be easy to spot his location on a platform as he hosts a meeting, surrounded by bandit flags. However, it will be difficult to approach or attempt your attack since the fort is heavily guarded. Instead, Yasuke players should consider unlocking Kanabo’s grand skill and knocking enemies down. Meanwhile, Naoe players should rely on stealth to reach the target’s location and assassinate him.

The Slaver

Location: On a European-style ship off the Sotomo Gate northern coast in Wakasa. 

Rewards: 235 Mon, Critical Chance with Ability Engraving, Invitation to Genbao Fort Quest Item, Nanban’s Curse Epic Teppo 

In this quest, you’ll be directed to a small warehouse located in Tsuruga Sea Port. However, only a letter will welcome you in that area. This time, Naoe is a better character choice because she can efficiently board the ship. Since The Slaver uses a Teppo or firearm, it can cause burn status after the explosion. This makes close-range combat a more viable option. Then, do the assassination from behind while using the Kunai to eliminate your surrounding enemies.

Mai, The Smuggler Leader

Location: Mai’s Mansion, Himeji Castle’s north in Himeji, Harima.

Rewards: 255 Mon, Glimmering Sway Epic Naginata, Melee Bleed Affliction Engraving 

You can calm down for a bit as Mai and her men won’t act hostile upon glance. However, speaking with her will trigger a combat between Mai and your character. To achieve victory easily, crouch behind the Ronin sitting beside her then assassinate her. Yet, she can cause damage through her chain attacks and bleed effects in direct combat.

Yoshisada

Location: Miyazu Castle, Tamba.

Rewards: 5000 XP, Gold x1, and Military Supply Outdoor Cosmetic (after eliminating all targets and returning to Lord Fujitaka) 

This encounter will require you to speak with Yoshisada first for engagement. Once the dialogue ends, quickly breaks his armor before you go into hiding. Once he loses your track, you can do the assassination. Meanwhile, Yasuke users or high-level players can instantly engage upon encounters.
