Direct Invites: The 8 Teams That Stood Out Most

When it comes to the Dota 2 professional scene, there have been about far too many greats and legends. Rising one after another, we bear witness towards yearly competitions that never fail to give us the chills.

Unlike last year, which granted only six teams a direct invitation, this year has far more to show. The International 2025 deemed a total of eight teams worthy of being invited directly to the battlefield.

Gaimin Gladiators

A consistent powerhouse gets their direct invitation for their outstanding performance during the 2025 competitive season. They already have a legacy of past major championships and 2nd place wins in both TI 12 and 13. GG continues to be a strong team in the remaining tournaments of the competitive season before The International 2025.

Team Liquid

Two-time The International (2017 and 2024) winners and the reigning champions of TI13 are currently experiencing ups and downs. They won PGL Wallachia S3 but got eliminated in BLAST Slam III this season. There’s no doubt they’ll earn a direct ticket, but defending their title is a tougher fight.

Team Spirit

Another team with multiple TI championships (2021 and 2023) under their belt directly joins The International 2025. Team Spirit made themselves famous as another strong competitor from Eastern Europe. Their 2025 performance has been great so far, winning DreamLeague Season 25 and even beating Team Liquid in BLAST Slam III.

Tundra Esports

This relatively young team made history for themselves by winning The Internationals 2022. They maintain the ability to compete in high level tournaments, winning BLAST Slam III and FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade. Tundra Esports is another team whose worthiness is undoubtable for the direct invite to The International 2025.

Team Falcon

Team Falcon only transitioned to Dota 2 back in November 2023. Even as a new team, they already won a major event, the DreamLeague Season 23. They remain formidable in the competitive season, hence being one of the directly qualified The International 2025 teams.

BB Team

BetBoom Team have always been a strong contender for numerous top tier tournaments in Dota 2. Although they have yet to claim an Aegis, they are respected for always offering a tough battle. They showed an outstanding performance that won them the FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 in March.

PARIVISION

A Serbian Esports team that exudes formidable aura in every tournament they step in. They were the ESL One Bangkok 2024 champions, and this year, they took the ESL One Raleigh 2025 trophy. They are one of the teams that Valve acknowledges and will be sent directly to The Internationals 2025.

All Gamers (formerly Team Tidebound)

When talking about hitting the ground running, we talk about All Gamers. Just recently entering Dota 2’s competitive scene this 2025, they consistently placed as runner ups in the competitive season. Now, they’re the only Chinese team to have received a direct invitation for The Internationals 2025.
