2025 is a hot year with all the new gaming reveals that happened in Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025. Many came out with major gaming announcements that will lead the industry for this year. So, take a look at all these innovations in the market from CES 2025.

Nvidia’s RTX 5000 Series Makes a Dramatic Entrance

What’s even a better way to start the CES 2025 than a reveal from NVIDIA? CEO Jensen Huang starred right away with his announcement of the RTX 5000 Blackwell series graphics cards. This is definitely exciting for every gamer and might as well for those who built their PCs.

In their CES 2025 announcement, they included four new GPUs in the lineup which are: RTX 5090 ($1,999), RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549). Lucky for everyone, there won’t be a need for such a long wait. The high-end GPUs RTX 5090 and 5080 are already out on January 30, 2025. On the other hand, the 5070 Ti and 5070 will be out soon in February.

This series will be introducing groundbreaking features that will have gamers impressed. It’ll include GDDR7 memory as well as a redesigned dual-slot of the Founders Edition cooler. The most impressive for this release was the $549 RTX 5070 to match RTX 4090-level performance in certain scenarios. NVIDIA claims this to be very evident when used in the new DLSS 4 technology which is exclusive to 5000 series.

Apart from this, they also unveiled the Reflex 2 which will reduce gaming lag to maximize performance. Also, new developer tools are coming like RTX Neural Shaders, RTX Neural Faces, and the RTX Mega Geometry.

AMD Counters with RX 9070 Series GPUs

Not only NVIDIA is coming with a surprise in CES 2025. AMD also showcased their midrange graphics cards that will compete against NVIDIA’s new series, RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070. The lineup will only have two models which are the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070.

So far, AMD already allowed some benchmarking of the cards yet withheld pricing and release date information. But they introduce another new innovation which is the FSR 4 which is AI-enhanced upscaling technology. They claimed this to be exclusive to the upcoming RX 9070 series.

Gaming Handhelds Evolution: Lenovo Legion Go S and Acer Nitro Blaze 11

Now moving forward to something bigger for CES 2025 is the latest gaming handheld. Their market is definitely expanding as Lenovo revealed a new charming product. The Legion Go S is the first third-party device that will ship with SteamOS.

This device will feature AMD’s new Ryzen Z2 chips configurable for up to 32 GB of RAM. Also, it’ll have its 8-inch 1200p display launching in May 2025 and available in several variants such as:

  • a $729 Windows 11 version with Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
  • a $599 Windows 11 model with Z2 Go chip.
  • a $499 SteamOS version.

Another brand is running up in the competition as well with Acer unveiling their very own Nitro Blaze 11. Big dreams are at stake here as Acer ought to push beyond the boundaries of traditional handheld gaming devices.

It’ll be a massive portable that features an 11-inch 2560×1600 120Hz IPS display, and AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor. For its RAM and storage, Nitro Blaze 11 will have up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 2TB storage. The device can be quite heavy as it weighs 1050g with a 55Wh battery. They’ll release this for $1,199 during the second quarter of 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 Speculation Heats Up

Unfortunately, Nintendo didn’t officially participate in the recent CES 2025. However, its gaming accessories manufacturer Genki caught the attention of many after their showcase. They displayed a Nintendo Switch 2 mockup that is based on the actual device.

With this display, there have been reports that suggest Spring 2025 to be the launch window for Nintendo Switch 2. Still, this has only been a rumor and players should wait for further announcements.

Conclusion

Turned out CES 2025 to be really loud with all the gaming improvements coming out early this year. Many can expect their gaming experience to only get better as tech companies release major gaming innovations. There’s no way to miss out on these latest graphic cards and handheld consoles soon in the market.
