AION 2 Third Live Stream: What to Expect on September 11
NCSoft has officially confirmed the AION 2 third live stream for September 11, 2025, at 8:00 PM KST (1:00 PM CET). This broadcast promises to share major updates about gameplay, the business model, and new class previews. Developers have hinted that the event will address critical community questions while revealing additional insights about the mobile version and cross-platform integration.
This marks a pivotal update for the upcoming MMORPG, as previous live streams showcased gameplay footage for Cleric, Templar, Sorcerer, and Ranger. Now, attention shifts toward the remaining classes yet to be revealed.
Four New Classes Set for Gameplay Reveal
One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming AION 2 third live stream is the expected debut of gameplay for four unrevealed classes: Gladiator, Assassin, Chanter, and Spiritmaster. Fans have been anticipating footage of these roles since initial teasers dropped earlier this year.

With eight total classes confirmed for launch, players can expect details on class mechanics, skill sets, and potential PvP and PvE dynamics. NCSoft has confirmed that strategic combat will remain a core focus, featuring 40 active, passive, stigma, and combo-based skills per class. While only 12 skills are visible on the interface, these chain into multiple activators, allowing for deeper customization and gameplay variety.
Business Model and Mobile Version Updates
The live stream will also clarify the business model, a key concern for players skeptical about pay-to-win mechanics. According to recent developer statements, wings, gear, and major progression items will primarily be obtained through in-game farming rather than monetized draws. While microtransactions are expected, NCSoft has hinted at keeping pay-to-win elements to a minimum.
Additionally, the developers will showcase the mobile version of AION 2 for the first time. While the game’s PC platform remains the primary focus, mobile support will aim to expand the player base. The broadcast is expected to highlight differences between the two platforms and discuss features like cross-server matchmaking, PvP balance, and content parity.
PvP, RvR, and Combat System Improvements
AION 2 will emphasize large-scale RvR battles between Elyos and Asmodians, supported by cross-server matchmaking for more competitive environments. To maintain fairness, NCSoft has confirmed that systems are in place to prevent combat abandonment during aerial fights, ensuring smoother PvP experiences.
The development team also addressed community concerns regarding auto-battle mechanics. Unlike many modern MMORPGs, AION 2 will not feature full automation. Instead, a semi-control mode is in development, allowing some skills to auto-cast without reducing player agency or core gameplay depth. This approach aims to strike a balance between accessibility and skill-driven combat.
