• Co-op (Modernia): June 19–21
• Overclock (S9): June 30–Sept 22

& Passes
• Moran (King of Flowers): Costume Gacha
• E.H. (Junkyard Vanguard): Junkyard Pass
• Naga (Ring Ensemble): July Mission Pass
Budget Constraints: Moran’s gacha skin features new voices, cutscenes, and special motions. Pass skins offer simpler, purely cosmetic tier unlocks. Moran’s skin delivers incredible visual value for active teams, while Naga’s upcoming July pass is a high-priority pick for competitive burst groups. If you missed any of the summer limiteds from past years, this update is genuinely your best shot. The Limited Select Recruit lets you pin exactly which Nikke you want at rate-up, so you are not gambling blind across six characters. That changes the math significantly for anyone targeting a single pick like Anis: Sparkling Summer or Neon: Blue Ocean.
Who Is Ark Ranger Black and Why Does Her Kit Matter
Ark Ranger Black is a new SSR Attacker from Tetra Line, using an AR called Crying Black, with Wind code. Her core identity is sustained DPS through self-buff stacking, and she enhances her own attack capabilities over time to maintain pressure on enemies rather than bursting once and going quiet.
The part that has the community talking is her Burst Skill. When she activates it, she fully transforms. That has not happened in NIKKE since Dorothy, who remains one of the strongest water DPS units in the game today. It does not automatically make Ark Ranger Black broken, but it is a rare mechanic and worth watching once full kit details and damage numbers are confirmed in the days after launch.
Wind code is already packed with strong options including Velvet, Scarlet, and Sakura: Bloom in Summer, so where she fits into wind team compositions will depend on the numbers. If her sustained damage output is competitive, she slots naturally next to burst-oriented wind units as the consistent DPS anchor. If she skews more support-adjacent with her transformation buffs, she could be the enabler a lot of wind teams have been waiting for.
Her banner runs from the end of June 11 maintenance to July 2, 2026 at 4:59 UTC+9, with a 4% SSR rate and a 2% specific rate-up for her. You can also pick her up for 200 Gold Mileage Tickets in the Mileage Shop, so pity carries over if you go hard. After the banner ends, she moves to Ordinary Recruit and Mold items permanently.
All 7 Banners Running Right Now and What the Limited Select System Actually Does
Six summer limited units are back under the Limited Select Recruit system, and this system works differently from a standard rate-up banner.
You choose one Nikke from the full list before you start pulling. Only your selected Nikke appears at rate-up probability. The other five do not show up at all. You can swap your selection at any point before pulling, so if you hit a character you already have, you can pivot. Each banner runs the same 4% SSR rate with a 2% rate-up, and each supports the 200 Gold Mileage exchange.
Here is the full roster of returning summer units:
Nikke Class Code Weapon Manufacturer Anis: Sparkling Summer Supporter Electric Libertine Aqua (SG) Tetra Line Helm: Aquamarine Attacker Iron Battleship (AR) Elysion Mary: Bay Goddess Supporter Water Summer Shot (SR) Tetra Line Neon: Blue Ocean Attacker Water Big Big Wave (MG) Elysion Sakura: Bloom in Summer Attacker Wind Ichigenkin (AR) Tetra Line Rosanna: Chic Ocean Supporter Wind Golden Thompson (AR) Tetra LineFrom a pure value standpoint, Anis: Sparkling Summer and Helm: Aquamarine are the two strongest pulls from this list for most accounts. Anis is a serious electric support that buffs superior elemental code damage and punishes water code enemies during Full Burst. Helm speeds up burst rotations for the whole squad, which is useful across nearly every content type. Mary: Bay Goddess is a strong water healer who also boosts Water code ATK during Full Burst, making her a genuine option for water-focused accounts.
Sakura and Rosanna both work in wind comps but are outclassed by the top wind units available in the permanent pool today. They are not skips, but they are lower priority unless you are specifically building wind depth.
The ARK RANGER Event Is Fully Voiced and Runs Until July 2
The event attached to this update is called ARK RANGER, and it is fully voiced, which is not standard for NIKKE story events. The story follows Ark Ranger Black deciding that being a TV hero is not enough and stepping into the real streets of the Ark to fight Raptures directly. There is also a short animation tied to Story II Normal Stages that unlocks June 18.
The event is split into two story parts. Story I is live immediately from June 11. Story II and the animation drop June 18 alongside Solo Raid Season 38 and Champion Arena Beta Season 32.
The new mini-game, FIGHT! ARK RANGER!, is a vertical defense game where you organize weapons to stop waves of Raptures. The structure sounds close to tower defense, which is a clean change of pace from the usual event modes.
A 14-day login event called ARK RANGER THE MOVIE: COMING SOON runs the full window through July 2. Logging in for any 14 days earns Advanced Recruit Vouchers and development materials. Consecutive 14-day logins stack additional rewards on top.
Free Skill Reset, Batch Upgrades, and the QoL Changes That Actually Matter
NIKKE shipped three Skill Uninstallers via in-game mail tied to a skill reset window running from June 11 to June 18 at 4:59 UTC+9. Use them before the window closes. With new wind units in rotation, this is a smart time to reallocate skills if your current spread does not fit your updated roster.
The most impactful new feature is the batch skill level up function. Instead of tapping through individual skill upgrades one at a time, you can now set a target level or max out in a single action. The Auto Select button finds the highest reachable level based on your current materials automatically. For anyone who has been putting off skill upgrades because of the tedium, this removes the biggest friction point in character building.
The Consumables tab also received a full overhaul with new sub-tabs and improved sorting. Finding battle data sets, skill manuals, and burst manuals mid-session is noticeably faster now.
BFG CLEAN UP! was added to the Arcade as a permanent mini-game, and new profile card objects, titles, and lobby backgrounds arrived alongside the update.
Competitive Schedule for June: What to Queue and When
Union Raid kicked off June 12 and runs until June 18, targeting five different bosses across fire, wind, water, electric, and iron weaknesses. Solo Raid Season 38 begins June 18 and runs to June 25. Champion Arena Beta Season 32 also starts June 18.
The co-op Coordinated Operation against Modernia (wind-weak) runs June 19 to June 21, so that is a tight three-day window to get your runs in.
Simulation Room Overclock Season 9 does not go live until June 30 and stretches all the way to September 22, so that one is not urgent right now.
New Costumes and Whether Any Are Worth Spending On
Three new costumes arrived with this update:
Moran: King of Flowers is a Costume Gacha pull, so you need Worn-Out Scripts purchased from the Ticket Shop. It comes with full voice-over, a Burst Skill cutscene, standing pose, and an SD special motion. Moran is a usable unit, so this is one of the stronger gacha costume releases in a while for players who actually run her.
E.H.: Junkyard Vanguard comes through the premium JUNKYARD PASS, which requires daily mission completion to level up and unlock the costume at max level. E.H. is not a top-tier unit so this is purely cosmetic priority for fans.
Naga: Ring Ensemble is tied to the July Mission Pass, which does not go on sale until July 1. Naga sees regular use in certain burst compositions, so this is worth watching if you run her.
Two limited costumes, Sugar: Wild Backyard and Leona: Zoo Keeper, are back in the Cash Shop until July 2 as standard reruns.
