Stardew Valley has a lot going for it, though you don’t really hear people gush about how many types of food you can make and eat. But hey, there’s a lot of it and most of it’s pretty useful.

Food is your second method of Energy regeneration for when you’re hard at work on the farm and your primary method of Health regeneration when you’re out adventuring. You almost always want to have some sort of food on hand, and the better regeneration the better.

Aside from the Energy and Health regen food provides, many dishes also give stat buffs to make farming or adventuring easier for a set period of time. Here are some of the character stats specific foods can buff:

  • Farming – Makes catching fish easier
  • Maximum Energy – Increases maximum energy
  • Luck – Improves your chances of drops and higher grade crops
  • Combat – Improves your attack power
  • Foraging – Increases your Foraging level
  • Fishing – Increases your Fishing level
  • Magnetism – Pulls items to you from further away
  • Speed – Increases your movement speed
  • Mining – Increases your Mining level
  • Defense – Improves your defense power

The foods listed in this guide are separated based on whether they provide stat buffs or not. Food without buffs are listed in the first table and food with buffs are listed in the second. Both tables are in alphabetical order.

…and that’s all the food in Stardew Valley. Each tasty dish has its use — some are best just eaten for regeneration and buffs, while others are best used to make more complicated dishes or are ideally given to villagers you want to befriend or marry.
