Alunira is a new cloudrook mount that’s not as straightforward to get as it might seem at first. If you’re looking to pick up this mount, then you’ll need to be patient, since it’s quite a grind. Here’s how to get Alunira in WoW: The War Within.

First, you need to gather 10 Crackling Shards, which can drop from any mob on the Isle of Dorn. Unfortunately, the drop rate on these is low. You’ll likely spend several hours gathering these shards, and the time it takes comes down to RNG. Some players have reported that they had more luck getting shards when killing elite mobs, but others seemed to have better luck with regular mobs. As a result, there’s no guaranteed way to increase your odds of getting shards.
Once you have 10 Crackling Shards, use them to form a Storm Vessel. You can’t damage Alunira without the Storm Vessel. On the peak that she circles, she has a shield that prevents you from damaging her. Target her and use the Storm Vessel to get rid of this shield.
Screenshot by GameSkinnyWhen you have the vessel, you’ll find her at the location marked on the map above. She circles the peak of the mountain there. If you stand where the Skyriding Glyph is located, you’ll be able to target her and be in range to use the vessel and remove her shield. Unfortunately, the mount doesn’t have a guaranteed drop rate, so you might not get it on the first try. In that case, you need to wait for her to respawn and try again.
