How Do You Make the Bug Platter Recipe in Dreamlight Valley?

To make the Bug Platter recipe in Dreamlight Valley, you must first unlock the Lion King Realm (10,000 Dreamlight) and initiate Nala’s Eyes in the Dark questline.

Then, the Bug Platter recipe calls for:

  • 2 Colorful Bugs
  • 2 Red Bugs
  • 1 Slimy Bug

Where to Find Ingredients for a Bug Platter

Colorful Bugs

  • Colorful bugs are found in the dried-out oasis in the Lion King realm. You’ll need to head there and locate the sparkling dig spots. Use your Royal Shovel to dig up the Colorful Bugs.

Red Bugs

  • Red Bugs are found in the deep Jungle area of the Lion King realm. You’ll locate large tree stumps for these and use your Royal Shovel to dig up the Red Bugs. The Red Bugs will scatter and run off in all directions, so you’ll have to get in their path to pick them up.

Slimy Bugs

  • Slimy Bugs are found by fishing in the Lion King realm’s river. Once you’re ready to fetch the ingredients, red fishing spots will appear. Equip your Royal Fishing Rod and aim directly for the red circle to fish out the Slimy Bugs.

How to Make the Bug Platter

Even though the ingredients were gathered in the Lion King Realm, you’ll need to return to your Valley to cook them.

The Bug Platter can be prepared at any cooking station in your Valley. Simply combine the ingredients like you would for any recipe, and you’ll successfully cook up some bugs— yum?

The Bug Platter is specifically for Nala’s Eyes In The Dark quest, and it can’t be sold at Goofy’s stalls or consumed for energy.
