How to Open Console and Enable Cheats on PC

The best part about ARK: Survival Ascended is that you can open a console and enable cheats on all platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The method is similar in all three cases, so simply follow the steps that I listed below:

  1. Go to the game’s home screen.
  2. Select “Settings” menu.
  3. Go to the “Advanced” tab.
  4. Switch “Console Access” to “ON.”
  5. Exit the menu and start the game.
  6. While in the game, press the following button to open the console:
    • PC: “~” (tilde)
    • PlayStation: R1 + L1 + Square + Triangle
    • Xbox: RB + LB + X + Y

How to Enable and Open Console on Xbox

With the release of ARK: Survival Ascended on Xbox Series X|S, the option to enable admin commands has also become available. The process is similar to what you would do on a PC, but with a few caveats of its own. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Start ARK: Survival Ascended.
  2. Press the “Pause” button.
  3. Select the “Settings” menu.
  4. Go to the “Advanced” tab.
  5. Toggle the “Console Access” option to “ON.”
  6. Confirm by pressing the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.

Now your console will be enabled, and you can start entering the console commands that are the same across all platforms by following these steps:

  1. Start the game with new settings.
  2. Press the “Pause” button.
  3. Select the “Exit to Main Menu” option.
  4. Enter the console command in the “Console Command UI” field.

Every ASA Console Command Listed

Once you’ve opened the console, you can enter any of the admin commands listed below, and after pressing “Enter,” they’ll be executed immediately. I listed them all in alphabetical order for your convenience:

  • addexperience   —  Add XP points to your character.
  • Changesize   — Change your size (e.g. 1, 2, 3, etc.).
  • Dotame  —  Target a dinosaur and tame it.
  • Enemyinvisible  —  Become invisible to enemies.
  • Fly — Enable flying.
  • Forcetame  —  Target a dinosaur, tame it, and ride it without a saddle.
  • Forcetameaoe   —  Tame all dinosaurs within a set radius (e.g. 1000, 2000, etc.).
  • Ghost  — Enable ghost mode that allows you to walk through objects.
  • Giveallmeat — Spawn all types of meat.
  • Givearmorset   — Spawn an armor of a set tier and quality.
  • Givebossitems — Spawns a random boss item.
  • Givecolors  —  Spawns all types of dye.
  • Givecreativemode  —Enables creative mode with all features enabled.
  • Givecreativemodetotarget  — Target a player and enable a creative mode for them.
  • Givecreativemodetoplayer   — Select a player ID and enable a creative mode for them.
  • Givedinoset   — Spawns a dinosaur with a saddle of a set tier and quantity.
  • Giveengrams  — Unlocks all crafting recipes.
  • Giveengramstekonly  —  Unlocks all Tek engrams.
  • Giveitemset   — Spawns all items of a set tier.
  • Giveitem   — Spawns a set item.
  • Giveitemnum   — Spawns a set item.
  • Giveitemtoplayer   — Spawn a set item for a target player.
  • Giveitemnumtoplayer — Spawn a set item for another player’s ID.
  • Giveresources  — Spawns 50 items of each type of material.
  • Giveweaponset   — Unlocks all weapons.
  • Gmbuff  —  Enables God mode and adds 5,000 points to your Tek engrams and XP.
  • Gmsummon   — Spawns a tamed animal of a set type and level.
  • Infinitestats  —  Grants infinite amount of food, water, oxygen, and stamina.
  • Leavemealone  —  Enables God mode.
  • setcheatplayer true — Enables cheats for a target player.
  • setcheatplayer false — Disables cheats for a target player.
  • settimeofday — Sets the time of day.
  • Summon   — Summons a set type of creature.
  • Summontamed   — Summons a set type of tamed creature.
  • Teleport  —  Enables unstoppable forward movement.
  • TeleportplayerIDtome   —  Teleports you to the player ID.
  • Teleportplayernametome   —  Teleports you to the set player.
  • ToggleInfiniteAmmo — Grants infinite ammo.
  • Tpcoords   — Teleports you to set coordinates.
  • walk — Disables flying.
