Just like in Shadowbringers and Endwalker, FFXIV Dawntrail rewards you with Bicolor Gemstones for completing FATEs. Additionally, those gemstones can unlock items unique to the area, with more items available as you rank up in the zone. Here’s a list of all Gemstone Trader items in FFXIV Dawntrail.

Dawntrail adds another rank to FATEs, meaning that the maximum is 4 instead of 3, which was the case for the two expansions before it. As a result, your progression is 6 FATEs to clear Rank 1, 20 to clear Rank 2, and 40 to clear Rank 3, putting you in Rank 4.
Each rank unlocks new items that you can purchase from the Gemstone Vendor in that zone. Once you hit Rank 4 in all 6 zones, the Gemstone Traders in Solution Nine and Tuliyollal are unlocked. Those vendors sell the crafting materials that each zone’s vendor has, as well as Turali Gemstone Vouchers.
Urqopacha
