So, last year, the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter account, Sonic_Hedgehog, was “taken over” by the evil Dr. Eggman as a fun little event SEGA did randomly. It went well the first time, and now Sonic’s Archenemy is back at it again.

As seen in the video above, the evil Doctor is going to take over the Sonic Twitter account again — this Friday no less. This invasion of Sonic’s account will be taking place on 24th, which just so happens to be the series 25th anniversary. It’s almost like he planned it…

Will we see an announcement for a new game, rather than the disappointing contest announcement that we got for E3 last week? Who knows — we’ll just have to find out this Friday.

This could also be just a harmless social media experiment — or at worst, a gimmick. It’s hard to say for sure whether will hear anything about an upcoming game or anything else. But hey, it’s always nice to remain hopeful.
