Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom Prince’s Edition will release September 17 for $59.99 and includes the base game plus all previously released DLC add-ons and expansions.

Ni No Kuni 2 takes place in the same Ghibli-esque world as the original, though has few other connections aside from some place names. This time, the young hero is Evan Pettywhisker Tildrum, prince of Ding Dong Dell.

Aided by his advisor from another world, Roland, and a ragtag bunch of air pirates, Evan must try and rebuild his kingdom following a deadly coup. He won’t fight using familiars as Oliver did, however.

Instead, he’ll take the Higgledies into combat. Ni No Kuni 2 has 100 Higgledies to recruit with unique abilities, buffs, and debuffs they can bring to the table.

The called the original Ni No Kuni 2 released in 2018 for PlayStation 4, and we called it at the time a “massive” and “immensely satisfying” game.
