What is the Ivory Tower in Identity V?
Instead of being an actual tower made of ivory, the Ivory Tower in Identity V is a cosmetic series that’s themed after a refined and extremely elite school. With its own unique in-game lore that players can immerse themselves in, some of the game’s beloved characters are reimagined as students and given B-tier costumes to fit them in this universe.
Those who played the game back in 2024 will likely remember that the Ivory Tower event ran between August and October. Driven by a missing detective, cryptic letters, and some plot twists most likely didn’t see coming, the event instantly won the hearts of many fans. The story concept and overall lore continue to be some of the best in Identity V, which is likely why so many were excited to learn about the new costumes and another part of the event.
This year, the Ivory Tower costumes and story event are slated to launch on August 28, 2025. It’s unknown when the event will conclude, but players can expect it to last for at least a month and a half, similar to the first story event.
All new Ivory Tower costumes in Identity V
To the surprise of many, the Ivory Tower event in Identity V will be accompanied by a handful of B-tier Ivory Tower skins. Like with every Ivory Tower skin, all of the new skins will be purchasable from the Illusion Hall for 60 Echoes each. Echoes are the game’s premium currency, which means those who want to get their hands on all of the skins will want to look toward LootBar for the best experience.
Additionally, it’s important to note that all of the skins will be released with limited-time availability. This doesn’t mean that the costumes can’t return in the future, but there’s no confirmation when or if players will get the chance to acquire the four new Ivory Tower costumes again.
Bloody Queen B-tier costume - Feather Fan
The first new skin that players can expect during the Ivory Tower event is the Feather Fan skin for Bloody Queen. This outfit gives the Blood Queen a wonderful blue and black dress. This reimagining of this character turns her into a noble-born and elegant language teacher who also serves as the dormitory supervisor at Demory Academy.

Hall Ember B-tier costume - Anvil
Next is the Anvil skin for the Hall Ember, which gives the beloved character a school uniform that barely fits him, showcased by the tears on his arms and shins. While not much is known about him yet, the art shows the character seemingly crafting a flower out of wood, suggesting his role in the school may be that of an arts and crafts student.
Embalmer B-tier costume - Vesper Bell
One of the fan-favorite new Ivory Tower skins is the Vesper Bell skin for the Embalmer. Turning him into a student of the academy, as shown by the uniform he’s wearing, this costume may not do much, but reimagining Aesop as a student is what multiple fans worldwide wanted, and Identity V is delivering.
Grave Keeper B-tier costume - Warning Letter
Finally, there’s the Warning Letter skin for the Grave Keeper that fans can expect. This skin is rather unique. While Andrew wears a similar uniform to most other student characters, he also has what seems to be a short cape, along with an hourglass strapped to the belt on his waist.
All returning Ivory Tower costumes in Identity V
Of course, it wouldn’t be an Ivory Tower event without giving players the chance to acquire some fan-favorite skins that have already been released. Below are all of the Ivory Tower skins that players can expect to see return during this event.
● Painter B-tier costume - Turpentine
● Female Dancer B-tier costume - Swan
● Barmaid B-tier costume - Cheers
● Wilding B-tier costume - Wild Child
● Enchantress B-tier costume - Answer
● Prospector B-tier costume - Touchstone
● Photographer B-tier costume - Tyrant
● Priestess B-tier costume - Reversed
This isn’t all, as long-time fans can also expect four portraits and four graffiti to return to the game, being up for grabs alongside the Ivory Tower series rewards return package, which includes all of the returning portraits and graffiti as optional content.
What is the new Ivory Tower story event in Identity V?
The biggest surprise of this Ivory Tower event is that there will also be a returning story event for players to enjoy called Forgotten Echo. The story sees a new semester start alongside the campus courier showing up at the Detective Club’s door. With a series of vanishing pets, inexplicable explosions, and disappearing art pieces, it’s up to you to get to the bottom of things and ensure the academy gets peace once again.
By following the hidden trails and shaking every corner of the campus, it’s your job to untangle this mystery, while also engaging in daily academy lessons. With portraits, graffiti, clues, fragments, and more up for grabs, the priority is to figure out where the beloved messenger dog Wick disappeared to.
Participating in and completing event tasks will reward players with tokens that they can then spend in the event store. This event alone will give players enough tokens to get at least 12 exclusive rewards, with players being able to choose from 11 event portraits and 11 event graffiti. Those who want to get their hands on everything can just look toward LootBar for the best experience possible.
Conclusion
This concludes everything to know about this year’s Ivory Tower story event and new skins. While this alternate universe greatly differs from the regular game that all fans know and love, it’s refreshing to see these characters living out their lives in the comfort of an academy. With so many costumes, portraits, and graffiti to get your hands on in such little time, it may be a good idea to buy an Identity V top up or two so you don’t miss out.
