Everyone knows it's tough to get a PlayStation 5 for Christmas, with stock limited, allegedly stolen, scalped, re-sold at ridiculous prices, and literally swiped from moving trucks like a scene from Fast and the Furious.

Well, even Saturday Night Live has noticed, and this weekend the long-running US sketch show broadcast its own take on this holiday's must-have item.

Arrested Development and Ozark star Jason Bateman plays Santa in a spoof of the Eminem song Stan. This time around, however, it's an insistent man asking for a PS5, after being unable to find one at Walmart or GameStop.

PlayStation has not commented on the skit - it's not hugely flattering, although word your console is completely sold out everywhere is surely good publicity. Ubisoft has, however - as the song does include a brief mention of Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Here's Ubisoft's own additional rap:

Dear Stu,
We heard you were a fan
So we wrote you this letter
We know you've been wanting this
And just wanted you to feel better
So here's a code for PS5: 689H-4KN3-KNB6
We just want you to feel seen
Sincerely yours,
The Assassin's Creed team https://t.co/r09ZKCzwuN
