Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has surpassed five million players.

By March 2026, we knew the Wuxia action game had sold over 1 million copies and had enjoyed a pretty successful launch, according to industry analysts at the time. Within months, however, developer Leenzee's core team was seemingly disbanded, reportedly due to the departure of key senior staff and the remaining team's refusal to become a support studio.

Despite the departure of the game's key team, however, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has continued to clock up impressive numbers with an overall 'mixed' Steam score and no updates since 20th November, 2025.

Eurogamer's Wuchang: Fallen Feathers review described the game as "Soulslike comfort food", but admitted that the fun action game had "few true surprises".

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers producer and director Xia Siyuan has since formed a new studio, and the intellectual property rights for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers were fully acquired by Italian games publisher/developer Digital Bros for roughly €4 million in April.
