Rayman Legends Retold was originally announced during last week's State of Play, but it's kindly made a return for the Xbox Games Showcase. This remake has made the odd choice to put the original 2D visuals aside in favour of the 3D route. (Not to say the game looks bad, it looks amazing.) It will also include four new musical stages and a whole new realm, along with the Cave of Trails which will offer ongoing challenges. Best of all, Rayman Oranges: Enhanced Edition doesn't cost £2,000 and instead comes bundled in with every copy of Legends Retold.

We're heading underwater in Pokémon Pokopia when the free software update arrives! (I'm definitely going to make a Pokémon version of Atlantis!) This trailer also brought the news that the Expansion Pass (paid DLC) is on the way for Pokopia. This DLC will include a new town - Bubbly Basin (Cerulean City maybe?) - new Pokémon, new furniture and new outfits.
This free update will arrive in August 2026. Pokémon Pokopia is available for Nintendo Switch 2.
The Expansion Pass is split into three: Bubbly Basin will arrive in August 2026, then additional features will be released in late 2026 and, finally, a new town will be released in 2027.

Hope you don't mind, but I've bulked these three together or else I'd just be repeating myself slightly. Anyways, Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 are all coming.
Each one will run at 60 FPS, with 4K for TV mode and full HD in handheld mode. The cutscenes have also been given a new lick of paint. Each game also comes with a handy new feature. In Xenoblade Chronicles, you'll be able to travel on a vehicle. Meanwhile in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, you can control blades to fight mercenary battles and, finally, in XC3 you can fight waves of enemies in what looks like a new game mode. There's even more new features coming too!
When it comes to release dates, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition will be released digitally for the Switch 2 today! (The upgrade pack is also available today.) If you'd like a physical version, you'll have to wait until the 30th July 2026.
The digital version and upgrade pack for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be released on 30th July 2026. The physical edition will then follow on 1st October 2026.
Finally, the digital version, upgrade pack and physical edition for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will all be released on 3rd December 2026.

The trailer gave us a little look at the world and characters known as the Vesselai who are sure to be important. It seems like the game will begin with us arriving in Leukos, a school for the Vesselai, but I doubt our school life will be simple. (When there's a mention of a fallen god wanting vengeance, you know things are never going to be simple.)

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is the survival crafting game from Jagex. Here you'll travel to the forgotten land of Ashenfall to build a life for yourself and fight dragons!

Splatoon Raiders is the first spinoff for the Splatoon series, giving us a single-player narrative rather than a paint-themed co-op fight. (Though there will still be a co-op mode if you still fancy that, Raiders just focuses more on the single-player narrative.)

Ocarina of Time is, in my opinion, the second best Zelda game (the first being Majora's Mask). Soon you'll be able to save Hyrule by travelling across time and avoid that bloody owl as best as you can on the Switch 2!
What a beautiful way to introduce the game too! If that was a shot of the game's graphics right at the end, then we're in for something special.
