Return to Castle Wolfenstein developer Gray Matter Studios has piped up on its website to ward off rumours of its demise, after its last confirmed project, first person shooter Trinity: The Shatter Effect, was announced and then cancelled by publisher Activision during the latter months of 2003.
There had been speculation that Gray Matter, a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, would go completely out of business following the announcement. But despite a silence of some eight months, its "news" page was updated this week with the cryptic words: "We are hard at work on something new and very top secret... If we told you, we'd have to kill you..."
Perhaps they're raiding houses for the Federal Bureau of Half-Life 2?
