Hearthstone: Whizbang Deck List Guide - Deck Recipes & Combos

Whizbang the Wonderful is, we think, one of the most exciting cards ever to be added to Hearthstone. Once placed into a deck, Whizbang takes charge of proceedings and gives you full control of a randomly selected Deck Recipe deck at the start of every match. Note, however, that Whizbang is not available in Arena - probably for the best.
In terms of sheer variety of play, it's hard to imagine how Whizbang could provide much more value than he does. If you're the kind of player who knows Hearthstone well, but doesn't have a lot of cash to throw at every expansion, it's a great way to play unrefined versions of each expansion's biggest archetypes.
In this article, we've pulled together all of the Deck Recipes that form the pool of decks that you can potentially draw into when playing with Whizbang. We've sorted them by hero, and you can jump straight into each one's dedicated page. To help you get to grips with the decks, we're gradually adding combo insight to each one.
UPDATE - RISE OF SHADOWS LAUNCH

How does Whizbang the Wonderful work?
Whizbang the Wonderful is a new kind of card for Hearthstone, one which provides access to the game's entire roster of Deck Recipes.
Whizbang is the only card you need to add to the deck you pop him in. When the game starts, you'll be randonly assigned one of the 18 Deck Recipes, complete with the related Hero Power as well.
These pre-made deck lists are - generally - sub-optimal versions of any given expansion's meta-decks, but it should prove to be a fantastic way of sampling a large part of each meta.
Casual players should find it great value, and a few streamers have already expressed an intention to take Whizbang on a journey to Legend all the way from Rank 25. We can't wait!
What Deck Recipes will Whizbang offer?
Log into the game right now and you'll notice that each of the nine heroes in Hearthstone has a total of three Deck Recipes apiece.
If you've not used the Deck Recipe system before, you can find the options by navigating to My Collection, then hitting the New Deck button just below your list of existing decks. Select a hero and on the left-hand section of the UI you'll see a list of options.
Here are the Hunter's options in The Witchwood:
The Classic deck which each hero has doesn't really do an awful lot to show off the latest in Hearthtone. Instead, it's made up of Basic and Classic cards.
For this reason the 18 Deck Recipes provided by Whizbang will consist of two from each class, with the Classic recipe being ignored altogether.
How do I create a Whizbang the Wonderful deck?
This is the easy part. All you need to do is create a new deck, then slot Whizbang the Wonderful into it. He'll take care of the rest.
If you've any other cards in your deck list when you drop Whizbang in, they'll be removed automatically. Here's a video of Hearthstone's Peter Whalen explaining the mechanic. Skip to around 3:50 in for the Whizbang-specific stuff:
Hearthside Chat: Welcome to Boom Labs Watch on YouTubeCan I craft Whizbang the Wonderful?
Absolutely. Although there's been some clamour from the community to make Whizbang the free Legendary card for everyone to enjoy (see Marin the Fox), Blizzard has given no indication that this will be the case for Boomsday.
It's arguably not a great card for new players either, as it'll be too much information to process for someone new to the game. Think of all those archetypes and synergies - even the pros will need to commit a lot of information to memory to make the most out of the weaker recipes.
Assuming it functions in the same way as every other Legendary in the game, you'll be able to craft Whizbang the Wonderful for 1600 Crafting Dust. If you want to craft the Golden version of Whizbang though, that'll cost you 3200 Crafting Dust.
This brings us rather neatly on to the next question...
Will a Golden Whizbang provide Golden decks?
It's been confirmed that if your Golden Whizbang is Golden, then all the decks you pilot will be completely Golden as well.
Unfortunately there's no kind of alternative hero portrait for Whizbang, or intro animation. Although the reasons why are understandable, we still think it's a bit of a missed opportunity to show off your deck piloting skills.
