The best Evony Mounted General Combinations

Below is a table revealing the Evony best Mounted General combinations. These generals can all be paired together, and are initially ranked by total buffs – although for mounted generals I recommend sorting by mounted attack, as this is the most impactful buff for Evony Mounted Generals.

This table clearly indicates that Artemis is currently the top Mounted General in Evony, serving as the primary general for 6 of the top 10 combinations. Additionally, it functions as the secondary general for 3 out of the 4 pairings where it is not the main choice.

Regarding overall enhancements, the top combination of mounted generals in Evony is presently Artemis and George Monck. Continue reading to see if this duo suits your needs.

The best Evony Main Mounted Generals

When considering the top main mounted generals in Evony, Artemis remains at the forefront due to his significant overall buff. However, this does not necessarily imply he is the ideal mounted general for your needs. He only has a 17% march size.

On the other hand, Evony’s Hermes could be a more suitable option, offering a 50% march size increase, with only a reduction of 101% in buffs overall. It is also worth considering Evony Lysander, who has a 15% rally size increase.

The best Evony Assistant Mounted Generals

The best assistant mounted general in Evony is very dependent on who your primary general is. It is not surprising that Artemis has the most buffs. However, I was surprised to see Haakon in second place. Hermes is a strong choice because it gives a 38% growth in march size. On the other hand, Lysander provides a 15% boost in rally size.

How the Evony Mounted General Ranking System Works

The combined Evony Mounted General ranking system is shown by default as the total buff for Mounted troops (attack + defense + HP). This does not take into account march size / rally buffs.

The Evony Main Mounted Generals include information regarding attack, defense, HP, march size, and rally size buffs. They are ranked in order off attack + defense + HP buffs combined, they do not take into account march / rally size buffs.

The Evony Assistant Mounted Generals include information regarding attack, defense, HP, march size, and rally size buffs. They are ranked in order off attack + defense + HP buffs combined, they do not take into account march / rally size buffs.

This guide is geared towards your average player, and as such is designed to simplify the process of understanding the best Evony Mounted Generals. For the advanced players, I recommend you apply the following logic to your choice of mounted general:

  • Setter: Focus on generals that enhance rally size capacity. Check the main generals section for this boost, and you can organize the main and assistant tables by rally size.
  • Filler: Priority towards attack buff for mounted players. If your rallies are fully occupied, focus on enhancing your buffs. Rally capacity won’t matter, and there’s no need to increase march size since your team’s rallies are already reaching their limits. You can filter the below by attack.
  • Solo: It’s important to focus on march size since numerous attack buffs can be obtained from various sources apart from the general, whereas march size remains limited. You can filter the main / assistant tables below to figure out the best combination for yourself.

Note: All the rankings assume the Evony Mounted General is maxed out.

Is it worth switching your Evony Mounted Generals?

To switch, or not to switch? An age old question that Evony players have faced for years. Only you can truly know, although I would emphasize the cost of redoing specialties and blood of ares. As the game has gotten older, there is more and more sources of buffs.

If you’re considering taking the plunge, consider the significant effect those resources could have when utilized for different PVP leaders, or for your sub / duty / senate commanders.
