Today, LDshop will explore the worldview of Honkai: Nexus Anima for everyone.
Honkai: Nexus Anima presents a world setting rich in dramatic tension and philosophical depth. The story does not take place on a single planet or within a galaxy, but is structured within a multiverse of higher-dimensional planes. In this world composed of countless planes, the story unfolds in a universe that has experienced a great "Honkai" catastrophe—a disaster that nearly destroyed everything and shook the very foundations of the world's operational laws. The world before and after the disaster is divided into the "Old World" and the "New World," and the entities that control the world's laws have undergone fundamental changes.

The Lawbearers of the Old and New Worlds: Sovereigns and Novarchs
In the Old World, the beings that presided over various conceptual laws were known as "Sovereigns". Each Sovereign controlled a pair of opposing principles.
For example:
Old World
Character
Rank
Master
Victus
The 1st Sovereign
Order and Chaos
Amstradath
The 5th Sovereign
Life and Death
Armand
The 8th Sovereign
Light and Dark
Apeiron
The 28th Sovereign
Infinity and Finity
Kumyo Kyo
The 4th Sovereign
Reality and Illusion
Parayaya
The 14th Sovereign
Love and Hate
They were veritable kings of the mortal realm—until the familiar Honkai disaster erupted, devastating the Old World and nearly destroying its very foundations.
In the New World rebuilt after the Great Honkai, those who enforce the laws are known as "Novarchs". Unlike the Sovereigns, the Novarchs no longer govern paired principles but rather split singular concepts.
For example:
New World
Character
Rank
Master
Victus
The 2nd Novarch
Order
Armand
The 17th Novarch
Dark
Apeiron
The 57th Novarch
Infinity
Victus became the Second Novarch, governing only "Order" and presiding over the plane of "the Court of Dragons";
Armand became the "Dark" Novarch, while the "Light" authority was inherited by a monk named Prabhas, who was even imprisoned by Armand to research a method to overcome the Curse of the Sun;
The Sovereign of Infinity and Finity, Apeiron, lost the "Finity" authority and became the Novarch of only "Infinity", currently whereabouts unknown.

[Related Products]The Composition of the Novarchs and a Key Contradiction
The Novarchs of the New World primarily come from two sources:
-Sovereigns of the Old World inheriting half their power and transforming into Novarchs of the New World;
-Ordinary humans ascending through some means to become Novarchs.
If the power of the Novarchs came entirely from the split halves of the Sovereigns, theoretically the number of Novarchs should be even. However, it is explicitly stated that there are 81 planes in the New World, presided over by 81 Novarchs—an odd number, which clearly contradicts expectations.

Ordinal Discrepancies and the Uniqueness of the First Novarch
By comparing the numbering of Sovereigns and Novarchs, a pattern can be observed:
The First Sovereign corresponds to the First and Second Novarchs, the Second Sovereign to the Third and Fourth, and so on. But by the Eighth Sovereign, which should correspond to the Fifteenth and Sixteenth Novarchs, it actually appears in the position of the Seventeenth Novarch; the Fourteenth Sovereign's corresponding Novarch is also shifted back by one.
This leads to a reasonable speculation: The First Novarch did not originate from any Sovereign of the Old World, and their power may come from outside the world. This would mean all subsequent Novarchs' numbers are shifted by one, explaining the total of 81—the extra one is precisely the "First Novarch."
The World-Ender and the Identity of the First Novarch
The "World-Ender" mentioned in the Character Introduction is likely this special First Novarch. It is speculated that this individual used external power to destroy the Old World and ultimately became the First Novarch of the New World. The First Sovereign, Victus, stoped him seven times and even destroyed him twice, but due to the World-Ender signing a "Life-Death Contract" with the Fifth Sovereign who controlled "Life and Death," gaining immortality, he was never completely eliminated.
Victus
The 1st Sovereign, master of Order and Chaos, and who is now the Novarch of Order. Prior to the Sundering, he defeated the World-Ender seven times, destroying them twice.
This also implies that during the collapse of the Old World, some Sovereigns may have participated in betrayal or collaboration. The Fifth Sovereign, Amstradath, is currently in a special situation; the "Life and Death" plane he controls remains unsplit in the New World. Whether he has become a Novarch is unknown, or he may have reclaimed the power that should have been inherited through some means.
Amstradath
The 5th Sovereign, master of Life and Death. He now rules the Planes of Life and Death, though his status as a Novarch is unknown. He once signed a Pact of Rebirth with the World-Ender, granting them immortality
About "Blade": A Novarch Who Transcends Eras, and Other Characters
The familiar character "Blade" is the 22nd Novarch, presiding over the plane "The Peak," his power linked to the 11th Sovereign. He is currently searching for the whereabouts of the Eleventh Sovereign. From the plot information, it appears that Blade likely survived from the Old World into the new era, rather than being a parallel individual or successor. His purpose in seeking the Eleventh Sovereign may be related to "a way to leave this world," or it may even be that the Eleventh Sovereign brought him into the New World.
Blade
The 22nd Novarch, and master of the Plane known as "The Peak". One of the Phoenixbreaker Novarchs, he is searching for the missing 11th Sovereign.

The Player's Journey: Starting from the Beginner Village
Players will assume the role of a protagonist starting from the beginner village of Iya Town, learning to interact with various Animas, training and growing to become an Animaster. The next step involves challenging Arena Masters of various regional championships, traveling through stylistically diverse planes, meeting new characters and companions, and gradually uncovering the reasons behind the Honkai and the truth of the planes.
Conclusion
Honkai: Nexus Anima constructs a multiverse worldview full of tragic color and epic grandeur through the transition from Sovereigns to Novarchs and the splitting and restructuring of laws. The emergence of the World-Ender, the contracts and betrayals among Sovereigns, and characters like Blade who transcend time and space all lay rich groundwork for the plot. The return of classic characters and the expansion of new settings are both present. The true identity and goals of the "First Novarch," as well as how players will delve into this journey of the collapse of the Aspects, remain to be revealed in subsequent plot developments.
